The 1TB GT Key FireWire-800 Drive Cartridge from Glyph-Technology is a hard drive in a hot swappable enclosure that is compatible with the GT 051, GT 103, GT 205, and GT 308 series of enclosures.
The drive can be hot swapped from any of these Glyph drive enclosures, allowing you to easily integrate it into your work environment. It even includes a carrying case that allows you to safely store and transport the drive module when it is not in use.
- 1TB allows for storage of approximately 75 hours of uncompressed DV digital video, the equivalent of 212 4.7GB DVD video discs, or up to 250,000 MP3 files
- Compatible with GT 051, GT 103, GT 205, and GT 308 drive enclosures from Glyph-Technologies
- Compatible with legacy FireWire-400 enclosures
- Seagate drive mechanism features a 32MB data buffer, 8ms seek time, and 70MB/sec sustained transfer

We use Glyph drives to record, edit, & store A/V media files. We run a recording studio, a record label, & support our artists with social media & dedicated websites, YouTube video, etc. Glyph is our choice for media drives because they're reliable & have the speed required to record & edit complex media, like multi-track hi-res audio & video projects. GT Key drives have worked very well over the nearly 10 years of use we've given them. Glyph also has excellent customer service, & is the only drive maker we've found that will assist a customer with data recovery in the event of a drive failure under warranty. They do more than just tell the customer about 3rd-party data recovery specialists; they actually help expedite the process. We've never lost data stored on a Glyph drive; but it's great to have good service in place if we need it. This company clearly gets it, & understand how much their customers invest to get the data we store on their drives. Glyph drives are not the lowest priced ones on the market; but they're worth every dime when making digital media is your business.
