My Christmas pictures this year were the best on the family. The colours were brighter and images 'POP'!

With no dim switch, the double light works well for "dimming". [...]

Comments about Bescor MPL-12VX 12 VDC On Camera Light with Barndoors:
I use the unit on a Panasonic AG-HMC-40P video camera. The unit's size and weight are fine. Unfortunately light output with two 35 watt bulbs is only sufficient to be useful within a 6-8 foot range. It does the job for a 'close-up' but if you want more, look for a larger, higher output, unit.
Over priced for the amount of light.

Comments about Bescor MPL-12VX 12 VDC On Camera Light with Barndoors:
This light is small and light weight. It fits well on a small hand-held camcorder. The battery is the heavy beast that can take it's toll on your shoulder if you're wearing it for a long time. I recommend wearing a shoulder pad for extended use. The dual light feature is excellent for sorting out how much light you need.

Comments about Bescor MPL-12VX 12 VDC On Camera Light with Barndoors:
I use this mainly for weddings receptions once the lights go down. It is easy to use, and I love that you can control two separate bulbs. The lights are pretty bright, though so I'd like to order another bulb soon, maybe a 10W, because at close distance even the 20W can be pretty bright for those looking in the camera. But the barn doors come in handy for controlling the light.

Comments about Bescor MPL-12VX 12 VDC On Camera Light with Barndoors:
This compact light is very practical. Unlike others I've used, it lets you turn one or both lamps, depending how close your subject is. More than once I've had to stop shooting video because of people complaining about other on-camera lights that are too bright... not any more! This one gives me the flexibility I needed. Great buy.
