Specifically designed for digital SLR cameras equipped with APS-C size image sensors, the Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Fisheye Lens is a lens that captures a rectangular 180° view in all directions. The diagonal field of view of this fisheye lens produces striking images with exaggerated perspective and distortion.
The minimum focusing distance of 5.3" (13.5 cm) and maximum magnification 1:3.3 allows subjects to be as close as 0.7" (1.8 cm) from the lens' front element. This close focusing capability allows close-up photography and also it is possible to make use of large depth of field that covers wide range of subjects. Even the most familiar and mundane of subjects can be portrayed with startlingly fresh new expressions through exaggerated perspectives and unusual distortion effects. Well suited for academic and technical measurements such as solid angle measurements, cloud cover measurements & virtual reality.
DC lenses are exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras. The image circle (rear of lens) is made to match the smaller dimensions used for the image sensor on digital cameras. As a result, these lenses are also more compact and lightweight, and are better matched to digital SLR cameras.
Note! Not compatible with 35mm film cameras or digital cameras using full-size image sensors (e.g. D3).

Comments about Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Fisheye Lens for Nikon Digital Cameras:
The lens is a bit heavy but very pleasant to use for those who like the fisheye pictures. Bright enough for indoor use.
Strong constitution.
It comes with a real lens case (that's not the case with Nikon lensens for example)

Comments about Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Fisheye Lens for Nikon Digital Cameras:
I have been wanting a fisheye lens in my kit for some time. This lens is fun to use and is sharp as a tack. The only comment I have is it will not auto-focus on my Nikon d7000. Auto-focuses ultra quietly on my d200.

Comments about Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Fisheye Lens for Nikon Digital Cameras:
I purchased this lens primarily so I can create 360° virtual tour online. A fisheye is the best lens to use with several stitch programs that make it seemless. For a non-Nikon lens (I use a Nikon), this lens is very good. The auto-focus can sometimes miss the mark but since it's 360° for me, I keep the auto-focus off and manually focus at f/22 anyway. Nice purchase.

Comments about Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Fisheye Lens for Nikon Digital Cameras:
What turned me to buy this Sigma lens was the fact that the AF works with my nikon D60 camera. I tried also the Nikon 10.5mm and it looked there was no big difference (even in the weight). I'm having a lot of fun photographing with it.

Comments about Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Fisheye Lens for Nikon Digital Cameras:
I was hesitant at first to purchase this lens. But I am glad I finally ended up getting it!. It focuses very fast, and very quiet. Sigma did something right with the HSM (not like my other Sigma lens that hunts to focus and is pretty noisy). The images come out very sharp prior to any post-processing and colors seem very accurate. All in all, I love this lens. Worth every penny!

Comments about Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Fisheye Lens for Nikon Digital Cameras:
I just LOVE this lens! Took some of my very best and most interesting effects pictures with it! This lens helped me broaden my horizon as a photographer both figuratively and literally! I NEVER leave this lens at home when I go out for a shoot. And using it for video in some situations also creates spectecular clips. Sharp, fast and a ton of fun!
