I use the pole with monolight strobes and sometimes speedlites, for illuminating a background or for an accent light, such as a rim or hair light.

Comments about Manfrotto 122B Adjustable Pole for Backlight Stand - 21 to 33.5" (53-85cm):
I have used this adjustable pole to gain versatility for my off-camera flash at weddings where I am constantly moving want to get more flexibility in my lighting options. It has two attachment sizes at both ends and is lightweight. The only drawback may be carrying it when not in use unless you can find a way to attach it to your bag. It is a fantastic addition to how I shoot.

Using these adjustable poles in an overhead lighting grid. They work fantastic, esp. having baby spuds on both ends. Very easy to adjust up and down.

I use this in my "traveling" lighting kit. When used with the Manfrotto 158 female converter socket it extends the hight of my smaller stands that fit in my location kit. Simple, Easy, Just right.

Perfect accessory to the Bogen/Manfrotto Nano Stand. I use it to mount my Apollo softboxes to allow the tilt point to be outside the Apollo...works with both the 28 and 50inch boxes. Will also allow the Nano to go from 6ft to almost 9ft.
Also handy with the Manfrotto Superclamp.
