- Record your video and stills directly to an SD card (sold separately) for easy transfer to your PC for sharing on websites such as YouTube, emailing and printing. A USB host function allows you to burn your video from the SD card to DVD when using an external DVD burner.

I used the camcorder for snorkeling and general videos and it worked perfectly. It is a very rugged camcorder and is great for outdoors. Battery performance is poor and I cannot find extra batteries anywhere. Still pictures poor quality.

Though I have only used it a few times, I have found that this camera has similar quality to other small single 1/6" chip camcorders and is a lot tougher. It would be good for camping, rafting, fishing trips, etc... Recording to SDHC cards is a much better experience than using tapes and hopefully more pro/prosumer models will come out that use cards. You definitely need to have a spare battery, or two for this camcorder.
I gave it 4 stars because the SW20 does what it is advertised to do and can't really be compared to most other camcorders. The video quality is not bad - if you aren't expecting prosumer, or HD quality.
