The Bower SFDRLM LED Macro Ringlight adds a continuous light source of 12 daylight-balanced LEDs to point and shoot cameras. The base with the battery compartment gets attached to the tripod socket of the camera, and its flexible arm allows you to position the ringlight in front of the lens. This makes it possible to capture extreme close-ups of flowers, coins, stamps and other objects in natural and accurate reproduction.

Comments about Bower SFDRLM LED Macro Ringlight for Point & Shoot Digital Camera:
The ring light was going to be used for close ups with a point and shoot ... which is the intended application for this product. If the ring light fit outside the lens it would have been very usefu but, sadly, it did not and so was very cumbersome to use.

Comments about Bower SFDRLM LED Macro Ringlight for Point & Shoot Digital Camera:
I take macro shots of surgical specimens with a Samsung point and shoot. The lens extends and throws a shadow. This product is a big help. Wet specimens reflect the multiple LEDs and require that the ringlight be placed to the side.
