The MX-2 Disc Publisher from Microboards is a DVD/CD duplicator that also features an integrated 4800dpi color inkjet printer. It allows you to duplicate and print up to 100 inkjet-printable discs at a time. The duplication is performed by (2) 20x speed dual-layered DVD recorders. The inkjet printing delivers professional-looking discs, making this a great option for independent filmmakers, musicians, community groups, or anyone else needing to distribute professional content without having the time to print the discs individually.

Comments about Microboards MX-2 Disc Publisher:
* Printing suffers over-spray (blur) from air disturbance of fan and high speed printing. Reduced ink volume and changed printing defaults to get acceptable results.
* Missing 2nd drive requires attempting several tricks to see it again eg. disconnect/re-connect, device manager or restart.
* Loading disks at correct angle can be tricky.
* Recovery from jammed disk or cancelling job not so easy: requires more patience and maybe a restart to reset.
* Verify takes longer than it should because it can't check 2 disks at a time. It performs it sequentially despite the 2 drives.
* The automation mechanics could be faster.
* I typically burn&print 30 discs (50MB used) per hour.
* Cheap ink compared to other tri-colour inkjet based printers.
* Dearer ink than the same HP cart. MX ink is re-badged HP No10/11 ink. And dearer in Aus than in USA.
* Nice colour range, reasonable accuracy.
* Software has been recently upgraded from the version supplied with my older unit.
