The ZIGView Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired or Wireless Shutter Release is intended for Nikon & Fujifilm DSLR cameras that are not equipped with a built in infrared remote release system, and have a 10 Pin remote connection. It is also compatible with Nikon SLR film cameras that have the 10-pin remote as well.
The remote system includes a sender unit packaged together with a receiver unit which connects directly into the manufacturers own shutter release port allowing the user to trigger the shutter from both in front and from behind the camera. The Twin-1 remote system also includes a cable for wired release - this is particularly useful when taking pictures using the Bulb exposure setting. Plus the remote sender also has a built in bright white LED torchlight to assist you when shooting in low light situations, and a key chain attachment so you can keep a better hold of your remote.
The ZIGView Seculine Twin-1 R3 Remote is able to trigger your camera's shutter from up to 300 feet (approx. 100m) away with the added capability to operate a delayed shutter release, and also supports half shutter depress for pre-focusing and other camera functions. It is ideal for studio or travel photography, and for the enthusiast photographer who wishes to have the freedom to move around the subject while shooting, to be in the picture rather than be left behind the camera, and it can be especially advantageous when taking long exposure photos.

Ideal for long exposure shots to avoid camera shake (It's mounted on tripod so remember to disable the lens vibration reduction)
I use it in studio to free my hands in models training sessions.
It worked every time I pressed the button.
It can also be used for self-portraits but I'm not crazy about my look.
I have not used it outdoors yet and, hence, can't comment on it's range.
The sender is fine; the receiver, however, is very flimsy and must be handled carefully. I find it a bit expensive considering the material and the simple technology; it basically replaces a cable shutter release not a radio transmitter and has little advantage over the camera's self-timer.

I use this product for low light night shooting. I have not tested it's range yet because unit fires the camera a few times, then doesn't. Need to turn receiver off and on to resume shooting. The camera fit is not great. The receiver has only 3 pins, so the constant need to fiddle with it to turn off and on is big problem for me. Would not use this from more than 5 to 10 feet from camera since you will need to return to receiver often. Also would not try to use in client situation - too undependable.

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
I use this wireless remote for just about any shot I take using a tripod. If I'm concerned about camera movement, the tripod, mirror lock and this remote are all put to use.
It's easy to use and lightweight.
It takes some patience screwing the receiver into the 10-pin connection on my Nikon...small connector, bigger fingers....not sure there is much to be done about that.
It's not a real sturdy piece of equipment. Lightweight also means somewhat fragile.

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
I bought the product because the trigger does not have to be in line of sight. I do not have to aim at the camera. The units are compact and easy to use. I will use it very often.
The only complain I have is that the receiver uses a 2032 lithium battery. It would be nice if power is taken from the camera.
The Nikon ML-3 wireless trigger is more expensive and requires line of sight triggering. However, it offers the capability to trigger by any object interrupting the light path.

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
I use this for interior photographs.
What I like about this is that ther are no wires and the receiver mounts directly onto the camera (10pin).
Nothing that can't be fixed after you use it for
awhile.

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
I use this product on (mostly) a Nikon D200 SLR for remote, on-tripod shots (never could use a self timer predictably). The only negative that I have for the product is the size of the receiver that mounts to the camera - it is so wide that it hangs to the side of the lens and away from the camera body making it vulnerable to being snapped off and damaging the socket...this is the second one of these that I have purchased in about 3 years.

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
Compatible with higher end nikons. Superb range.
Portable, easy to install.
Not so great:
Easily lost or misplace if you're not careful
Made of flimsy plastic. Always shoots 3 frames regardless of camera setting.

I have used my wireless shutter release system for long exposures at night shooting star streaks. The added flash light to the system is a plus as well as the infa-red control.

Connector is all plastic and a pain to screw in. I never felt confident that it was secured correctly. Eventually one of the connector pins bent and operation became completely unreliable. Before that point it was not 100% reliable but better than my previous [...]radio remote. At least that [...]remote came with a solid metal connector!Total use out of this product - about 4 months.

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
I have been researching online for months about a wireless remote for my Nikon D300. The other brands are too pricey, and I don't like anything dangling on the side of my camera. I would rather spend big dollars on lenses or filters. Cable release is good, however, it is quite limiting.
I was amazed at how easy the setup and how to use this product. It works really well as mentioned in the features and ads. This is definitely a much better option than a cable release or a wired remote. It is absolutely an outstanding value for your money!

Works fine but does not screw in securely to my D200. The receiver wiggles around and feels loose after tightening up all the way. I could be something wrong with my camera but not sure.

This product is far superior to anything offered by Nikon for my needs. I bought it because I do not like the cabled releases sold by Nikon. They are just too long to be convenient for use. This wireless release is exactly what I was looking for!

I have used the Twin-1 R3 TRN for one month.
The unit is relatively inexpensive, however, it does not function consistantly. If you are shooting a "must have" photo the unit may not always trip the shutter release.

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
I recently purchased a Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras by ZigView. When I tried to use it on a Nikon D200, I had problems with wireless operation. After the first shot, following pictures must be taken within 30 seconds or the shutter will not release. Of course, I extended the duration of the D200's "sleep mode", no help. The manufacturer would not answer questions about whether my unit was defective, so I had to return it. [...]

Comments about Seculine Twin-1 R3 TRN Wired/Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon/Fuji DSLR Cameras:
I use this device for shooting wildlife, especially birds. I use a Nikon digital SLR. I set up my camera at nest sites and at water holes that attract wildlife and the ability to trip the shutter from a distance is essential. This product is very easy to use and quick to set up. I have not found any downside of it yet.
