These speakers work great both as stage monitors and as mains for smaller venues. The contour feature is particularly useful when you want to keep stage volume at a minimum. These will be an excellent replacement for our broken Behringer 215As.

Great sound with this speaker. I use it for live performances and the ease of use is amazing. Although it is a large speaker the handles on it make it easy to carry around.

We bought these speakers for live video presentations to large crowds at various reception halls. These speakers are ideal for us. They are made from very durable materials and I don't feel like I have to be very gentle with them in order to protect them. Setup is fast and easy using XLR cables. They are heavy, but I like this as they feel solid and durable.

I have a pair of Mackie SRM450's and the tweeter went bad on one of them. I was pretty much looking for an excuse to buy the Mackie SRM450v2 and this was it! What a sweet speaker. The clarity and bass on this speaker is excellent! I use it to run karaoke shows, for pumping out music in between the breaks, and for DJ gigs. The Mackie SRM450v2 is a good deal lighter than the SRM450, which makes it easier to transport, lift, etc. All in all a very good speaker at a great price.I would be remiss if I didn't mention that B&H has this specific item at the lowest price I've seen anywhere, and believe me, I did my homework before I made my purchase from B&H. I use these speakers with a Tapco/Mackie 18" sub. These speakers are replacing a pair of cheaper 200w mains. I should have bought these speakers the first time around. Nice crisp, punchy middle range. Quite compact for sound that they push out.[$] is a great deal.

I've used anywhere from 2 to 10 of these at a time for small to medium sized outdoor concerts off a 32 channel A&H board and 24 channel Mackie. They work well as monitors and main speakers. These can take a seriously silly beating and still work fine and hardly show cosmetic damage. They are a bit on the heavy side, but with good quality the weight should not be an issue. I would highly recommend these for outdoor concerts. As for indoor use, it depends on the venue. Personally I don't think they are the sexiest things in the world, but most bars and small concert venues don't care. A more upscale theater might have a problem, but hopefully they have built in sound.

These are clean sounding enough that I use them in my house at lower volumes, yet they can also get loud enough for big crowds. I have diverse tastes in music and everything sounds great: vocal, jazz, electronica. It's this versatility that makes them worth getting, IMO. They definitely benefit from a subwoofer, as the low freq response is not what they're made to do. My only reason for giving 4-stars (instead of 5) is the price, I wish they were a bit less expensive.
