      The Blue Crane DVD was purchased after using the D300 for several years. Vol. 1 covered basic camera use and settings. Vol. 2 covers advanced camera use issues including custom settings and color management and color workflow. A major portion deals with speedlights and the intricacies of using commander mode. This DVD will help you take better pictures with the D300 and effectively deal with challenging shooting situations.

            This DVD is a second semester course on the Nikon D300 and D700 digital camera. It picks up where the Nikon user manual drops off. Not only does it explain how each camera manual option works it demonstrates the implications of your choices and suggests ways of testing each option with hands-on exercises. As the second half of the D300/D700 Introduction Course it goes deeper into the advanced options of both camera's. Be prepared to pause the DVD often, be it to take notes or to practice the demonstrations. I wish it came with a syllabus and worksheets.
