Orginal Battary least for 1.25 hr i would expect more from hdd camcorder. get a spare one!
No Eyepiece
Too small (advantage?)
smooth slow record could be very nice if the quality was satisfy. but the quality of images is very poor, so you can't use smooth slow record when editing a scene because it looks like 320x200 resulotion and certainly not HD or even SD.
I wanted to buy the SR11, but it was too expensive for me, the major diffrences is screen size (2.7" vs 3.2") HD size (40gb vs 60gb) and sensor for still images (4mp vs 10mp).
Indoors sound is ok, but outdoors does not have wind filter and you keep hearing wind noises. Get an ext. mic !
Last thing - touch screen ? nice feature, but they should have keep some buttons outside like WB, Man focus, HD\SD etc..

My conclusion, bad video for at least inside the house..

Currently on vacation and went to Disney yesterday. Viewed the video from it and was amazed at the quality of the video. Even the pictures at 4mp were really good. Camcorder is so easy to use and love the on screen button controls. Great for everyday use for those growing families. :)
Only downfall I have found so far is when videotaping during the day in the sun, it's hard to see clearly on the LCD screen. Wish there was a viewfinder. However, I didn't see too many camcorders out there that had both.

This camcorder will be used by me for my younger son's little league games and my older son for recording their band and just taping friends. The still pictures look really good compaired to his old Canon camcorder. I like the solid feel and heft of this cam compaired to many I looked at in stores which felt too light and too cheap. I haven't used it yet but my son has and he said he really likes it. I also like the fact it records in High Def or normal def. also it records to memory stick pro cards. I bought this Camcorder to take down to Hawaii for my first ever trip there. I was planning on recording a lot to take back. I recorded everything I wanted to and still had plenty of room left to record and I had it on the highest video quality setting. Its easy to use and takes wonderful video. I bought this camcorder to replace my Sony DCR-DVD403 camcorder, which only records to mini dvd's. The SR-10 will record in the DVD format or 1080i. I copy my videos to my PS3 hard drive. I am not tech savvy, so I was quite happy to find the ease of use for this camcorder. I have not taken the time to read the manual yet, but I've already used the camera plenty of times. As usual, Sony makes a great product. I love the size, very compact. I like to flip the screen and fold it back in to shoot sideways...great candids...kids and dogs don't know you are filming them! I haven't had it long enough to know if it is durable, but I expect that its like most electronics...don't drop it!
