I use it for my personal vacations and I liked it a lot. The picture clarity is really good.
It would have been better if it has a view finder. Hard to shoot in a sunny day with the LCD screen reflecting my own face there..

I just had baby twin girls and wanted to capture their antics on video. I searched several retailers and product descriptions and this one seemed to have everything (except HD) for a great price. When I got it I was amazed how compact it is! I love that I don't have to worry about tapes, discs, or cards because the internal harddrive is so big. The touch screen menu is really cool and easy to use! And I was amazed that the face recognition ACTUALLY worked! It didn't work on the baby faces, but on adults it categorizes the video by who is in it.

For the price I'm amazed at all the features and ease of use. I haven't tried the direct to DVD thing yet, but the docking station and software makes it easy to upload video & pics to the computer.

I use this for filming the kids. Its great for convenience and has tons of memory. The touch screen is hard to use if you have larger hands.

I had used my mom's camera like this that she bought last year. I loved the picture taking option, very easy to use. This is a great camcorder and good camera. I would recommend this to a friend.

As a paranormal investigator, I find this camera to be perfect. Size, weight, ability and pic quality make this camera the best that I've seen in years. The 'night shot' capability is one of the best around.

This is a very user friendly and simple to use camcorder. I am able to get going with this with in 5 minutes. Easy setup and intuitive design. 60GB HDD is great. I previously owned a Hi8 Camcorder. Now with HDD, I don't have to change the tape frequently.

Only issues I see are:
1. indoors, the lens is not wide enough.
2. Battery life is not good. I need to buy a second battery

Camcorder easy to use. Just read the operating guide. I use camcorder primarily to video trains. Excellent picture quality. Sound quality is good, but lots of wind noise. Am going to get external microphone.

This camcorder can be used for the home videos. The picture quality is ok. not too good (those who expecting after seeing HD camcorder).

You should have extra batteries for long time shooting.

Just took it on a trip, and didn't have to fumble with tapes or disks. Easy to transfer to computer or cd/dvd. Great price on top of it all!

What i liked :
Pros:

1. Small & lightweight
2. crisp and clear as any DVD movie
3. Capability for copying/writting video to Disk is Great
4. Easy to Operate
5. Image Stabilization works well
6. LCD screen is big
7. Software included is of great help .
8. Convenient for Travel. because of the light weight it is easy to carry and pack .

CONS :
1.Still images needs improvement in Quality

OVERALL a GOOD HAND CAM for home use . VALUE for MONEY

Took it right out of the box and started recording. Use it to record the kids and family events. Everything has been great so far. Ease of use, easy to hook up to the TV and very small and light. Battery life is pretty short at just over and hour, but it is not hard to charge so no big deal. Only thing I have yet to try is downloading the videos to the computer to upload to the internet, but I'm sure it will not be too difficult. Great camera for the price.

We needed a replacement Camcorder to replace a Digital 8 Sony that had died after 5 years. This time we decided not to go with tapes as we have a stack that still needs digitizing. This is amazingly small package that is ergonomic for both my large and my wife's small hands. The amount of capacity allowed us to take an entire vacation without downloading to the laptop. Sony design is one of the reason I keep gravitating to their products. B&H's pricing was in the lowest 5% and I had done business with them many times. A Win all around.

We bought this camera primarily to take video of our newborn son. It certainly does the job. One of the main reasons we purchased this model was because of the advertised simplicity of transferring the movies from the camera to a DVD. As advertised, it was shockingly easy. The one push "easy" button is a great feature. The touch screen operates as a touch screen should, and the video quality, even though it isn't HD, is wonderful! Also, being able to easily switch from movie to stills is a major plus. No need to switch cameras and potentially miss the shot. I would recommend an external microphone and potentially some sort of secondary lighting. Certainly a purchase we would make over and over again. Great buy from a great, always reliable company!
