- Hybrid recording lets you capture video or still images to DVD and Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick Duo media. DVDs can be played back in most DVD players (SD), computers, and Blu-ray Disc players. Use the Memory Stick media for quick and easy emailing, transferring to PCs, printing or using with compatible Memory Stick devices. Also burn video from the Memory Stick to DVD in-camera.

I am regular visitor of different places along with friends and the family. Even though i already had camera i feel that it is better to have a camcorder to take some of the incidents as videos rather than a photo so that i can capture people expressions also at that time and also to cover the whole scenic area. I am impressed with the camcorder for its video quality and also for the sound quality. But i feel that it is better to have more optical zoom so that we can cover more distance areas.

I loved how easy it was to set up. I spent the extra money and got the memory stick in addition to the DVD's. I was glad I had done so, when I needed to switch in the middle of a performance to the memory stick I was able to do so in less than 2 minutes - therefore not missing hardly any time recording my child's performance.
It would have been easier & quicker if I had read the instructions beforehand (but I am very pleased).
The camcorder recharged quickly - making it nice for the weekend of recording.

This is the first camcorder I have ever bought. I wanted something that would be easy to use, yet I wanted some good quality taping too. This was sort of a last minute decision, but I will say I was not disappointed at all with the purchase. It's a great camera, good size, pretty good quality picture. The DVDs to buy for it are a little expensive, but since I am not usually taping for long periods of time, it works out well. The touch screen is definitely cool and I haven't had any trouble figuring things out. So far, I've been pleased with it and look forward to using it a ton more in the future!

I was looking for a camcorder that i could film my girls soccer games and dance recitals. This is the perfect camcorder for that. It is very easy to use, and using the software provided, it is easy to burn on a dvd and play back on our theater dvd system. It also records in 5.1 surround, which really pulls you into the games with all of the sound. I bought a ns700 battery for extended recording, and would recommend you do the same. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Its really quick to start up which is essential if you want to record baby's moments. It has decent battery life especially because you can see how much time is left. the sound is brlliant and so is the dvd qaulity. A bit of extra zoom wuold have been handy, but I will still say its a good buy.

This DV is designed in compact size with balanced performance and handling. It works fine with my VHG-730 wide angle lens. The only thing doesn't impress me is the battery, the capacity is a little bit low, doesn't last long enough for outdoor video shooting.
