Comments about NEC MultiSync 2690WUXi 25.5" Widescreen LCD Monitor with Triple Input (Black):
I bought the monitor for it's clarity and color accuracy. I built a new computer solely to store, edit and manage my digital camera pictures (Adobe Creative Suite). I found the soft controls, administration application and calibration software/hardware to be easy to use and effortless to install and initiate for the first time. Then, I discovered how easy it is to raise and lower the height of the monitor and to rotate the screen. The screen is really bright. So bright I had to "turn" it down significantly. The colors are brilliant and accurate (best I can determine). So far, it meets and maybe even surpases my expectations. I've had it installed for 2 weeks but only in full use the last week.

Comments about NEC MultiSync 2690WUXi 25.5" Widescreen LCD Monitor with Triple Input (Black):
I am using this for editing in FCP and some graphics work. This screen is very impressive. I was going to get two, but really don't need it. I am pleased with the one I have, and it is plenty large enough to have two editing windows open and work comfortably.
The colour reproduction is incredible and the calibration software is brilliant. Easy to use straight out of the box.
Shipped to Australia, the packaging was fantastic!
It isn't has bulky as I thought it would be, and maintains a comfortable viewing distance.
Highly recommend.

Comments about NEC MultiSync 2690WUXi 25.5" Widescreen LCD Monitor with Triple Input (Black):
I am a professional photographer that relies on high quality images for our clients. This monitor really shines for the photographer/graphic artist that needs exacting colors on a large monitor. Hooking up to a Mac Pro was a breeze and calbrating the monitor with the SpectraView II calibration device was painless. You cannot use a Spyder 2 (Spyder 3 does work fine) or some other older calibration devices, due to the wide color gamut of this monitor. Yes, the color gamut is WIDE!
It is big, bright and the colors are perfect (once calibrated and ICC profile generated) with the output from my lab. I have used Apple Cinema Displays, Dell and Samsung monitors in the past and this one is, by far, the best of the lot. Limited reviews on the net make this a leap of faith (cost is not cheap), but all reviews are spot on regarding the quality of this monitor. You can get this or spend more $$ to get the Eizo (which is the best on the market). *whisper* Take a hint, get this one and spend your savings on other fun gadgets!

Comments about NEC MultiSync 2690WUXi 25.5" Widescreen LCD Monitor with Triple Input (Black):
I use this monitor for graphic design and I must say, this is the best monitor I have ever seen/used/purchased. The black uniformity is incredible and calibration is a piece of cake. Definitely get the version that comes with the calibration hardware. I don't notice any lag either so it's been great for the occasional game. 100% worth the extra price.

Comments about NEC MultiSync 2690WUXi 25.5" Widescreen LCD Monitor with Triple Input (Black):
After lots of research I went to B&H to see the monitors. Unfortunately they do not have a 'viewing' room with appropriate lighting; and most are driven with a common VGA signal. However you can see the 30" brother of this monitor driven with a DVI signal. It is spectacular. I have had the 26" monitor for two weeks now and could not be more pleased. The colorimeter included with this model works perfectly and its software gives lots of detailed data. The gamut was as advertised, 93% of adobe RGB. Note: the LaCie is just an NEC rebranded. Also, the Eizo are not IPC type panels (the best).

Comments about NEC MultiSync 2690WUXi 25.5" Widescreen LCD Monitor with Triple Input (Black):
Words cannot express how pleased I am with this monitor. I did a lot of research before deciding to go with this model, and it lives up to all the great reviews I have been reading. I am a photographer, and it is a delight to work on the 25.5 inch screen. The color resolution is great, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to use the colorimeter that came with this unit (I previously had used the Spyder system with my other computer, which I found very cumbersome, and not all that accurate). Text also displays well, and it is a joy to see 2 pages side-by-side, when I am working on a document. And, not a dead pixel to be found -- all in all, I am very impressed.
