I had misgivings before buying the BP-970 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack because this was not a factory-preferred product. I am thrilled at the length of battery life of the BP-970 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack. It recharges quickly and lasts for hours with my GL2

This battery outlasts the Canon version it proports to replace but it lacks the smartchip and contacts necessarty for the camera to calculate how much time remains. There are cheaper batteries (Wasabi) that do have the chip and are built better.

I think i filmed for about 5 hours, and there was still some battery left. I started with buying Sony Products, but Canon Video and Compact Flashes are a perfect match. No more artifacts on my recording. Thank you Canon

Works will with canon GL2. Dont drop the batteries, plastic construction is very flimsy. Canon OEM batteries are better quality. The best part is thhe price point.

When looking for a spare battery for a Canon HD camera, this is a great way to go.
It provides approximately 300 minutes of battery life when fully charged -although one of the only downsides being that because it is an off-brand battery, it doesn't display the actual minutes remaining on the camera's display.
A little on the heavy side, but there's really no getting around that.
Affordable, easy to use (obviously) and a well made battery. No issues so far.
