Got this battery pack to serve me as a backup unit. I used it on my 4-day trek in the Andes. I was shooting videos quite extensively as well as taking pictures - the battery dropped to 1 bar by the end of the trek. Very pleased with this purchase.

Have been using mine since June '09 in rotation with an OEM battery to power my LX3. Both do the job they were intended to do; I can't see any tangible difference. Certainly no dire consequences
Mine didn't ship with a storage case, which would have been nice.
