It is generic brand but it serves as a Sony Brand one. I thought it is not as same specs as Sony, but it is. After I received, I charge for a whole night just to make sure it's full of charge. I snap it on my Sony Digital Video Recorder. My camera shows hour many hours remain. It is 10% more than my original Sony NP-F950. All I can say is it is great battery for half of the cost of my pocket.

The time showed in camera was great but one day i need all time and it stoped after 1,5min, i put charge many time but not, only 1,5 min of shot.
I opened the batery and see signals of corrosion, many rust.
I used a few months. I bought in 09/2009 and stopped in 2010, november. Without any reason, camera shot in the studio, air conditioners, no several conditions.

I use this battery to run a 7" monitor that i attach via HDMI cable to my 5D markII. The battery is great and lasted be 2 half days!! The little light on the battery tell you how much power is still left so thats great! Awesome bat highly recommend

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that on my Sony Led light HVL-LBP it doesn't work at all! And that is a shame.

I film a lot of events, and bought this battery because the battery that came with my Sony NXCAM would get dangerously low on power during shoots. This battery has solved that problem, giving me around 6 hours of use when fully charged.
Pros - Relatively inexpensive, long lasting
Cons - No on-battery level indicator, takes a while to charge.
It's not the Ferrari of batteries, but it's well worth purchasing.

Now for the price of this, its definitely a good buy! Although it isn't a Sony battery, it works just as good or even better! When fully charged it is about 500 minutes, which is 8 and a half hours of battery life. It is pretty heavy for a battery, and on the camera it can get hurt your arm for extensive time so I recommend a tripod.
