Upgraded to D700 from D70s - my spare D70s battery although it looks identical in size would not fit in the D700. The EN-EL3e is an upgrade that appears to now have temp. sensing (third contack added.) This battery is downward compatable to older versions of the EN-EL3_.

When new, the max charge my D700 would indicate was 88%. After a few months of use, it's max (straight out of the charger) is 86%. Under normal temperature usage, the D700 indicates it is at 50% in less than a hundred pictures. In colder weather (low to mid 30s F), I got less that ninety frames before flat-lining and the camera would not turn on. Typically I get at most a couple of hundred frames before it's low enough I feel compelled to change it. I typically swap and recharge almost every night to keep both batteries topped off. In normal conditions (temp mid 50s to low 60s F) with the OEM Nikon battery of the same age, after more than 500 frames I still have more than 40% power left. It's much cheaper than the OEM, but to get similar number of pics you'd need at least 5X as many of them. The battery claims on its label 1700 mAh, but I don't think I'm getting anywhere near that.

I have used this once at a wedding shoot.
The battery charged fully over-night.
It operated normally for the evening I used it.
Again, I have used it once and it worked properly.

Comments about Pearstone EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1450mAh):
This is a replacement for my old pack from SterlingTEK purchased back in 2008. The mAh are slighly less at 1450, but meet the OEM specs. This is the first time I'm using the Pearstone, but I can't imagine that B&H would not carry inferior quality products. I have taken well over 30K photos with my old battery.

Bought it as a spare battery for my D90. I notice no difference between this an the Nikon battery. Even at music festivals where I'm shooting hundreds and hundreds of shots a day, I've never needed to change batteries more than once in a full day.

Comments about Pearstone EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1450mAh):
Why bother with a pricey Nikon battery when this one will do the exact job.
I use it for my D300s which is now my backup body and it works just like my 6 other Nikon batteries, but at a fraction of the price.
Save your hard earned money and get this one.

This is a great alternative to OEM battery for a Nikon D90 and it is 60% of the price, which is even better.

Comments about Pearstone EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1450mAh):
I have a D100 Nikon camera. My old battery was not holding a charge. I have replaced it with the EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion Battery and now I am able to use my camera for much longer periods without recharging between shots. I would recommend this product to others seeking an extra battery for the Nikon cameras.
Comments about Pearstone EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1450mAh):
Fits perfectly, works fine. Definitely does not have the capacity of the OEM battery. I was fortunate the other day to be carrying a spare as this ran down much more quickly than expected. I just use this as my primary to save wear and tear on the OEM battery.

I haven't used this battery all that much yet, but from my experience so far, I can't tell any difference between my official Nikon battery and the Pearstone. (Nikon D80)

Comments about Pearstone EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1450mAh):
I have a D200 with a battery grip. When one of the Nikon batteries died, I tried one of these batteries the instead of the original Nikon ones. It charged the same, (100% on D200's battery meter). I also charged the Nikon at the same time and after a few days the Pearstone was still at 100%. The Nikon (4 years old) was at 97%. The Pearstone seems to perform slightly better than the 4 year old Nikon (as one would expect). After using it for a while, as far as I can tell, the only difference between the Pearstone and the Nikon is that the former costs 40% less.

Comments about Pearstone EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1450mAh):
I am highly satisfied with these aftermarket batteries.
Regardless of what people said, I purchased a total of four (4) to be used with my D90 and D200 each camera with battery grip.
I am not dissapointed, they really perform well.
I'm happy that I saved a lot of money buying these batteries instead of the original ones.

I'm always a bit apprehensive to buy third party camera batteries, but Pearstone seems to have made a quality product. Battery charged just fine, and lasted as long as my Nikon battery.
