Porta Brace CBA-XL2 Camera Body Armor Mini (Blue)
The Porta Brace CBA-XL2 Camera Body Armor Mini (Blue) is a snug-fitting jacket made of water-resistant, highly abrasive-resistant, soft-feel fabric that protects the Canon XL-2 or XL-H1 camcorder from bumps, hits and scratches. It also reduces the risk of camcorder damage due to precipitation, dust, and other harsh conditions. The interior side of the fabric has a mesh finish, to improve air flow around the camera. The Mini Armor has a simple Rain/Dust cover that fits into a convenient slip pocket. It has a clever Webbing Tab that fastens to the slot on the lens cap. The camera body armor is loaded onto the camera using touch fasteners and web cinchers.

Realized that I needed a cover for a new to me Canon XL-2. Compared Kata and Porta Brace, read reviews etc. and decided on the CBA-XL2. The armor went on quickly and covers all essential areas and has a rain cover to boot. Easy access to zoom and lens and main switches. Velcro used throughout makes it easy to access tape deck and rear connections. Am confident that this will work well outdoors.
