The Delkin Devices Archival Gold DVD-R 'Scratch Armor' Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 100) is a disc with an archival life of more than 100 years. This disc has a storage capacity of 4.7GB, or two hours of recording time. It has an 8X write speed. The key component is gold, one of the most inert, reflective elements on earth, which makes it ideal to resist the effects of temperature and humidity. This characteristic prevents oxidation, a common cause of failure in most DVD discs. A spindle is included, to provide safe storage for the discs. This disc has Scratch Armor coating, which lasts 10 times longer than other recordable media, and prevents scratches, scuffs, dirt, chemicals and fingerprints that can damage it beyond repair.

Comments about Delkin Devices DVD-R Archival Gold, Scratch Armor Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 100):
These are the only DVD's that I trust to store my photographs. I have been using them for years and they have never let me down. They burn slow, but the slower you burn the more stable the content so it all evens out for me. All of the final images my clients receive are also delivered on these discs.

Comments about Delkin Devices DVD-R Archival Gold, Scratch Armor Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 100):
I have used these DVD-Rs as an archive form for a number of years. Since I was in the unfortunate position of being well behind in my archiving I decided to bulk buy a 100 spindle pack. On my computer system these disks just work. No fuss, no problems. In three or more years of use I have had the occassional failure but don't forget that copying large amounts of data is not an error free process despite what the computer/peripheral/software manufacturers would have you believe. I feel I can buy these with confidence for archiving.

Comments about Delkin Devices DVD-R Archival Gold, Scratch Armor Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 100):
I just received these and I'm really disappointed. There areso many things that make them not worth the money. First offthe disks are see though. The burn layer is so thin that ifthese do fade your in big trouble. Second the printingDelkin puts on top of the disk is too much. If you plan tostick a label on your disk forget it. It's so black that itshows right through the label. Don't waste your money.
Problems Encountered: As I mentioned there is heavy writing on top of the disk.
