Canon's DC-330 DVD Camcorder brings together the convenience of DVD recording and an affordable price. Record 1Mp video and 1152 x 864 stills directly to DVD for immediate playback in your TV, after finalization. Canon's 48x Advanced Zoom provides you with close-ups that, like the camera's already 37x optical zoom, are clear with no loss in video quality. And, the exclusive Widescreen HR Recording feature captures every shot in full 16:9 video, the same way you see it on the 2.7" LCD display.
This camera's features include a Quick Start function for fast recording start-up, Dolby Digital audio and DIGIC DVII for improved color and tone in your images. PictBridge technology makes using the DC-330 even easier with quick upload and printing of still images in compatible printers. The built-in lens cover automatically opens when you turn the camera on and closes when you turn it off and the multi-angle wireless remote allows you to be farther away from the camera than usual, allowing you to be in the shot too. This user-friendly camcorder from Canon, provides you with the best of DVD recording and then some.
- DVD Recording
- Record video and stills directly to DVD for playback in any standard definition DVD player after finalization. Sharing the moment with friends and family has never been faster. DVD-R/-RW discs can hold up to 30 minutes of SD video and 60 minutes in LP mode. DVD-R DL discs can store up to 108 minutes of video. The Visual Index on the DC-330 allows for fast look up of scenes when you're ready to playback your footage. You can also create a play list of shots in-camera for playback back on the LCD or later in your DVD player.

- The DIGIC DVII processor helps to make your videos and still images look better than ever with improved color reproduction for skin tones and low light situations. This processor also reduces image noise with two types of noise reduction for accurate video and stills.

Though I have had 4 digital cameras, the only video camera I have owned before this one was VCR type. The DC330 is easy to use after about 45 minutes with the manual. I bought it to put together clips for my daughter's sports resume for college applications. Have really enjoyed the "training" aspect, where she can see her motions and identify what improvements are needed. Quality of image is good on sports setting, though I have not learned how to easily run slow motion replay, yet. The battery is weak as reviewers have said. I look for an ac outlet near the venues and have bought a larger capacity battery. The unit did better than I expected when my daughter was in the shade while I was filming from the sun for an extended period. I considered an HD version, but how many coaches (our audience) have HD players in their offices?

I love my Cannon digital rebel and so opted to go with a cannon for a video camera. Not to mention that this model had great reviews from Consumer Reports. I have just used it casually and have yet to find any faults with the camera for the price. Granted you get what you pay for, so if you are looking for unsurpassed image quality, you might want to choose another camera. Yet this camera is more than enough for your everyday home video. I also like that it is user friendly.

I have been used for domestic featuring and seems to me have a good image quality, easy to operate, soft and confortable to operate. The battery could available a longer time to record, but is enough to several situations. To take pictures, i didn´t recommend it. The quality of the pictures is poor.

I was looking for a compact dvd camcorder. One that I could go from camcorder to dvd player. This was it. I just came back from a trip from Atlanta and the movies were great. It was rainey, sunny,I took movies inside and outside. Using the camera portion of camcorder worked best in very sunny conditions. It was great to come home and just pop the mini dvd in the dvd player and watch. I wish the battery life was longer, but it recharged through the camera in just a couple of hours.
