Looking for DVD recording at an affordable price? Canon's DC-320 DVD Camcorder is for you. Record 1.07Mp video and 1152 x 864 stills, with the 1/6" CCD image sensor, directly to DVD discs for immediate playback in your TV (after finalization). The 48x Advanced Zoom provides you with close-ups that, like the camera's already 37x optical zoom, are clear with no loss in video quality. Canon's exclusive Widescreen HR Recording captures every shot in full 16:9 video, the same way you see it on the 2.7" LCD display.

This camcorder features a Quick Start function, ensuring that you never miss the moment, Dolby Digital audio and DIGIC DVII for improved color and tone in your images. And, if you among those of us who constantly lose the lens cap, the built-in lens cover has your back. If you want to capture all of life's moments but want an affordable, easy-to-use camera that provides immediate results you just found it.

DVD Recording
Record video and stills directly to DVD for playback in any standard definition DVD player after finalization. Sharing the moment with friends and family has never been faster. DVD-R/-RW discs can hold up to 30 minutes of SD video and 60 minutes in LP mode. DVD-R DL discs can store up to 108 minutes of video. The Visual Index on the DC-320 allows for fast look up of scenes when you're ready to playback your footage. You can also create a play list of shots in-camera for playback back on the LCD or later in your DVD player.
Compact Design
Take this lightweight camcorder anywhere you go. Weighing in at less than a pound and featuring slim-styling you can fit the DC-320 in bag or purse for traveling or on-the-fly shooting. Shoot a single image or chose from Continuous, High Speed continuous or Auto Exposure Bracketing. Capture all your stills onto DVD or SD memory card.
Digital Still Images
The DC-320 is not only a great camcorder but it doubles as a digital still camera as well. Special Scene Modes ensure that you get the best possible shot every time you shoot while Progressive Photo and the 9-point AiAf (Auto Intelligent Autofocus) make sure that your images have clean and clear detail.
Quick Start
Never miss the moment again because you're waiting for your camcorder to start up. Pressing the Quick Start button once keeps your camera in sleep mode. When you're ready to start recording just hit the button again and you can begin recording in under a second.
DIGIC DVII
DIGIC DVII makes your video and still images look better than ever thanks to improved color reproduction for skin tones and light and dark situations. This processor also reduces image noise with two types of noise reduction for clean, crisp video and stills.
48x Advanced Zoom
Canon's 48x Advanced Zoom extends the power of the 37x optical zoom for the longest zoom available from the company. What's even better is that there is no loss of image quality, leaving you with clear, accurate video and stills in every shot.
2.7" LCD with Widescreen HR Recording
Widescreen HR recording captures your video in full 16:9. Using the 2.7" LCD monitor you can compose in the same widescreen format, leaving no doubt in your mind that what you saw on the screen is what was recorded.
Dolby Digital Audio
Dolby Digital Stereo provides you with excellent audio every time you record for a truly all encompassing experience when you share your footage with friends and family.
Built-in Lens Cover
Never lose your lens cap again with Canon's built-in lens cover. When the camera turns on the cover opens and when it turns off it closes.

The 1/6" CCD image sensor provides you with stunning footage each and every time you shoot.

Comments about Canon DC-320 DVD Camcorder:

The camcorder is very small, compact and well designed. The new Canon DC420 is the same camcorder by Canon. The camcorder records onto
-R or -RW and -DL mini DVD's. Once you have finalized the disc, you can playback on most DVD players. The Canon DC330 offers the Fire Wire which can plug into your computer or DVD stand alone recorders to copy to regular size DVDs.
PROS: Clear, Crisp recordings, fairly EZ to operate and understand (the manual). Nice photos too !
Disappointment(s) : No car adapter charger, but can be ordered online by many companies.
So if you are taking a trip and don't have anywhere to plug into, get the car adapter charger.
The software which comes with the DC330 is not easy to register with Corel, com. When you click connect to obtain registration code, it fails to do such. But there are ways to work around this by trial and error. The software is good, once you get over the hurdle of trying to setup the program.
SUMMARY: This camera is a surprise in its size, variety of functions and special effects, and Canon once again delivers a great product. Sound is A+
    Good going Canon !

Comments about Canon DC-320 DVD Camcorder:

My wife selected this unit as a long-service gift from her employer. She is a total technophobe but learned to use the basic features in an afternoon. Had to purchase the SDHC card and a SANDISK USB reader for it for the still pictures, which was pricey. Negatives are that it will not finalize a DVD-RW unless battery is fully charged or it's on the AC adapter (no message or clue as to this in the manuals), and battery life is not very long so I will be ordering a second battery. I would buy it again.

Comments about Canon DC-320 DVD Camcorder:

I bought this camera for my wife who got the movie bug while we were on vacation. I showed her how to use her Canon Sureshot Camera for video too and she was hooked. I did a lot of research and found that the Canon fit everything we needed to get started. It also had the most favorable reviews from users. The camera looks to be well made and easy to use. I like the fact it takes mini-DVD's and SD cards for recording. It also has a still picture feature. I'm a big Canon fan and know we won't be disppointed.

This camcorder is very light weight, easy to use, and has great picture quality. I do wish the still photo option had a higher megapixel count though.
