I have two of these - one for the upstairs system and one for the basement system. The systems were put together over 7 years ago, and I paid to get a universal remote programmed to control everything. Then the CD player died, and the sat receiver died. How to get new devices into the universal remote? The guy who did it before was long gone.
Enter the Harmony One. I had the whole system configured and working in about 1 hour, and most of that was tinkering with some of the extra features I wanted access to via the touch screen.
Since then, I have added a Roku device - no-brainer - and completely reconfigured the basement system - another no-brainer.
I use a Mac for the upstairs system and a PC for the basement - both work perfectly.
This is, by far, the easiest remote to program and use that I have ever owned. I just bought one as a gift for my brother, too.
My wife is a technophobe, and even she finds it easy to use.

I use the product to turn on/off HDTV, A/V Receiver, Blue-Ray DVD Player and AT&T U-Verse Receiver. I love the idea and the execution of the task of setting up various operational modes (watch a surround-sound movie, watch TV, Listen to music) without having 3 remotes in my hand. Spouse and kids can now easily enjoy the entertainment system with ease. The only issue I have is that the Universal Report does NOT know what state the devices are already in and as such it just toggles from one state to the next (i.e. On to Off or Off to On). So it is easy to get the various devices out of out of sync on what state they need to be in for various modes. Depending on the device and model number there may be a different button for On and another one for Off and in that case there is no problem. But with toggle options only for some devices this is problematic. So the jury is still out for me on reliability of using the 1 remote.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote Control:
I've owned Marantz, Philips Pronto, and Harmony 880 universal remotes and the Harmony One is the best, by far. I'm very happy with it. It automatically set up my new remote because I previously owned another Harmony.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote Control:
You simply identify all your components and the remote software does the rest. When I touch the "Watch TV" icon. It turns on the TV, DVR, and the Bose system. It sets all inputs (HDMI1,etc)How wonderfully simple. You don't have to be a computer geek to set it. It connects to your computer through an USB port and you follow the directions on the computer screen. I'm impressed.

Easy to use. Just connect to the notebook and it automatically installs the latest version of all the software allowing to choose wich equipments you want to control. You also can setup actions such as "Watch movie" that turns on the TV, receiver and DVD and setup all equipment instantly.
The best choice if you want an universal remote control that do what it says.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote Control:
this is my 3rd Logitech harmony, by far it has the best features so far. Simple set up, since I am experienced with the process. Just two things are a downsize for me.
1. The feel of the remote is awkward. To glossy, slippery feeling not enough grip. the ergonomic design is poor.
2. The "rattling" noise is annoying for me. After research I found out it is the "Tilt sensor" no more quiet mercury. Other than that I really like it.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote Control:
I have used this product for many years, it is hard to imagine using the entertainment center without one of these.
THe coolest thing is you do not need to remember what devices you need for each activity, it is programmed in and you just tell it what you want to do and it turns things on, changes channels/settings ... as needed.
This is the way things should be.
I have no complaints, the original product was awesome and broke due to abuse (kids!).

I bought a RedEye before that and I really prefer the Harmony. It is easier to setup, and the real buttons are much easier to use than the virtual buttons of the RedEye.

Simple to set up and use but this is my second one in 2 years because the battery became 'swollen' and rendered the previous remote useless. Hopefully the new remote has a better quality battery.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote Control:
Great product when worked, but screen went white within 6 months. Logitech claims they have a 1 year warranty on their product, but when my screen went white, Logitech claimed that I damaged the unit and their warranty didn't cover damaged units. The touch screen still worked, no physical damage to the unit whatsoever, just very poor warranty department and the company is unwilling to stand behind their product. I don't think this product is built to last and Logitech has horrible customer service.

This is my third Harmony Remote and I have always been happy with them, it can controls any device you can think of (as long as its Ir) and its easy to configure. The one thing that will make people think twice when buying it is the price but once you do get it you wont regret it.

Easy to configure on website. Works for my Sony soundbar, Samsung tv, and Time Warner Cable issued PVR (Samsung as well).
Wanted it to work with our ps3 and Hampton Bay ceiling fan, too but they were not compatible.
