The ease of changing this from one set to the other is as simple as unscrewing the knob. Very easy. The zoom is small and very functional...another plus!

What I wish was better:
Rercord button - I wish it was raised a bit more than it is. It is a bit recessed, so working with gloves on will be hard.
Stand by mode - either I can't figure it out or there is no way to put the camera on sleep or standby mode. This is a huge dissapointment and the reason for only 3 stars. Had it not been for this, I give it all 5. Maybe I will get some help here if I am missing something!

I use it with Sony EX3 Camera it is was working very good and you will be satisfied with it . Only one comment that the 8 pin adapter connection looks like little loose but it is working fine. I am very satisfied with it.

I use the controller in the field and studio. It is well made and afforded me a cost effective solution for my EX1R. The materials used by Libec are sturdy and well conceived. The single screw attachment approach is far superior to another previously owned controller that had two...

One point that I dislike, but cannot find fault with at this cost point, is the inability to 'feather' the beginning and end of a push or pull. Once ramped up or down however the movement is very smooth.

Overall an excellent investment.

It may be too early to tell, but on first use it worked fine. I considered buying an adapter for my "professional" Fujinon zoom. But this was just a little bit more in price and offered more flexibility.

Don't let the low cost fool you... I have two zoom controllers and this on is better that the other one which cost about a $100 more... nice smooth zooms.

I own Sony EX1R... Before i ordered the ZC-9EX Zoom Control...I was worried about the how good will it function....but i was so happy to know that i made a good choice....smooth zooming/light easy to attach to the fluid head arm...it works very well with Sony EX1R.

Unit seems really well-built and very nice and simple to use.

Using it on a Sachtler FSB 8T head with the speedlock sticks.

The only (minor) negative is that it uses a small adapter cable that adapts the native connector to the EX lens and while the joining connector is strong & made of metal, it cannot be locked.

But very happy with purchase.

This Zoom Control by Libec is a wonderful product and it's price point makes it affordable. It is very responsive and when used in conjunction with the sensitivity settings on the Sony XDCAM-EX3, I feel that I have total control over the speed of my zoom. It is easy to take on and off of the tripod handles and it's cable is just the right length even when the handles are fully extended.

The Libec ZC-9EX beats the heck out of the Sony zoom control on the EX1R. I took a piece of PVC pipe and clamped it to the mic mount on the Sony EX1R and attached the Libec ZC-9EX to the pipe. I angeled it down some so I can toggle it with my index finger. I use the Libec as the on-camera zoom now. No more zoom bumps when starting a zoom. The Libec is a great zoom control.

If you have the kit lens (Sony EX3)and an other Fujinon/Canon lens - this is the remote you´ll need.
With the extra adapter you´re covered.
I will sell my Manfrotto remote now...

As cameras get smaller and "less ergonomic" so increasingly we are having to attach them to shoulder mounts the make hand holding them much more stable.
The Libec Zoom control allows me to control critical functions of the camera when it is mounted on top of the DVTec rig, without taking my hands off the stabilising handles. I use it on the ground but its especially useful when I operate from helicopters etc.
Very small, very useful!

This small product gets your hands off the camera for tripod mounted shots. It effectively turns your HD camera into a tv studio camera, and this is great for stable shots.
Works great so far, but not built heavily.

I bought this zoom controller for my jib arm. as with other libec products, I am satisfied with the quality.
This is a good product, but it is expensive compared to similar product like libec zc3dv

This works just fine with the Sony EX3. Also helped improve the somewhat jerkiness of the stock EX3 lens. I didn't have any problems with the adapter falling off. It seems sturdy and reliable.
