Comments about Olympus Stylus 850 SW Digital Camera (Yellow):
Being a bodyboarder and an avid fisherman, this camera lets me take really great pictures quickly without having to carry around a large camera bag. It's so small it fits right in my pocket, so I can take it anywhere. The fact that it's waterproof is convenient for when I'm kayaking, and I bought a floatey that attaches to it so it won't sink if it falls into the water.

Comments about Olympus Stylus 850 SW Digital Camera (Yellow):
I have a bigger more manual camera for more serious shootin but this camera is for fun fun fun! When I go to party or relax it's nice you don't need to be afraid it falling or getting wet. I also keep it with me when I'm working. Some times I need to take photos of peaces of machinery and that can happen in really dusty and dirty enviroments so no problems there either. This is just what I needed. It was a little bit bigger in size that I expected but it still fits nicely even to my jeans pocket.

Comments about Olympus Stylus 850 SW Digital Camera (Yellow):
Just back from a week at North Carolina beaches and waterways with our new Stylus 850 SW Digital water proof (yep, it really is) camera. Used for 6 days straight of kayaking, snorkeling, body-surfing, beaching and sightseeing with a 2gb card (about 475 available pictures). Easy to sync to the laptop with Picasa2, Very good picture quality, decent lag time but not great, pretty good videdo quality with fair audio (video and audio even work under water but you can imagine the sound-track) The many and varied options for scene settings are helpful. Choices for scene settings are on their own section of the menu/dial. This is a great feature as all the choices don't interfere with the basic features but are easy to get too when you want to try them out. This is our first pocket digital without a viewfinder and, while I'll get used to it, I still miss it for regular land shots to insure proper framing in bright sunlight. Importantly, this thing sinks like a rock and the include wrist strap isn't adequate protection when you're really out pounding around. Get a float, a lanyard or a secure wrist strap right off the bat. I came much too close to watching my $ flutter to the bottom of the channel in Beaufort, NC.! I didn't install the software so I'm no help there.

Comments about Olympus Stylus 850 SW Digital Camera (Yellow):
I love photography and appreciate all around quality in a camera. Yes, this might seem desirable due to its being virtually "everything proof". However, the picture quality is mediocre compared to canon, and its complicated to find the right settings to take a picture in. The worst thing about this camera is the video mode. The videos look grainy, and the volume input is TERRIBLE! There is no way to change the volume input settings, and i could barely hear any of my videos even when i put them on my computer and tried to alter the volume. There is also a lot of unnecessary white noise. If you want to get a camera simply to take pictures and not for video then this camera is o.k.. If your looking to take videos with your camera, then do consider something else.
