The Pegasus HD/SD Video Capture Card for Archival and Distribution from Grass Valley is a video capture card that is designed for use in archival and distribution applications. In addition to the included HQ Recorder capture software, the card ships with an SDK. This allows developers to create their own custom applications to leverage the Pegasus's capabilities.
- Video Capture Capabilities
- The card can capture SD and HD video from a variety of source3s. It includes inputs for S-Video, YUV, RGB analog, and HDMI video. An included converter cable allows you to capture VGA signals as well.
- Canopus HQ Codec Chip
- The card features the Canopus HQ Codec chip for hardware video compression. This chip encodes video using the Canopus HQ codec, which delivers superlative visual quality and small file sizes.
- Software Bundle with SDK
- The included HQ Recorder capture software allows you to start importing video out of the box. It features Auto Capture, Manual Capture, and Scheduled Capture operation modes. A Software Development Kit (SDK) is also included, allowing developers to leverage the Pegasus hardware in custom applications.
