Comments about Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II (13 x 19"):
I use this 13 x 19 sized Photo Paper Plus Glossy II for mostly large landscape printing. However, I will chop it to 11 x 14 and use the leftover for small snapshot prints. I have found that this lighter weight paper serves just as well as the heavier Canon photo paper for portrait printing along with landscape and creative art work--and at just about half the price, I must say I'm not disappointed. Drying time is basically the same, colors might even be a bit snappier, no difference in sharpness. I am finding no down side to switching paper weight to save some money.

Comments about Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II (13 x 19"):
Bright white and high gloss show off color saturation well. In this larger size, I might go for the Pro paper for heavier weight; prints aren't flimsy but feel like they should have more body. Long dry-down time for colors to "clear" and show correctly; prints may have distinct pink/red tones for a while.

Comments about Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II (13 x 19"):
I use this paper in a Canon PIXMA Pro9000 MKII with good results. I use the ICC profile and turn-off all 'auto optimizations' in the driver. This combination provides reproducible results with good color reproduction and reasonable contrast. The resolution on 13x19 exceeds the resolution of a good SLR by far. (Used a 18MP Canon 7D). The thickness and feel of this paper is comparable to traditional photo paper. The glossiness and smoothness is probably not quite as high as for more expensive papers, but this paper likely provides better value than more expensive papers from Canon or ILFORD. Please don't get me wrong. I have nothing against the premium papers from Canon or ILFORD. They are just in a different price range and in my opinion simply too precious for quick checks of my work. Also: if you frame the pictures you'll probably often not see a big difference to the more expensive products.
These papers should provide good fade resistance, but I cannot comment on this until now.
All in all: Give this paper a try! At clearly below $1 per sheet it is probably the best value for checking your work. (We all know that a 4x6 print simply does not tell you anything about how the 13x19 print will look like.)

I print on a Canon Pixma 9000 printer, and have dialed in my printing process for this paper. I get consistent results.
