Comments about Panasonic SDR-SW20 SD Waterproof Camcorder (Red):
I purchased this Panasonic as a gift for my husband. He is a musician/publisher and in the process of shooting local musicians for uploads. He was "up and running" with hours of opening the box, so ease of use is a great benefit. Also, we live in Hawaii where there is considerable salt and humidity in the air -- waterproof gear is essential. On Christmas day, my husband was shooting the body boarders at the beach. Camera is easy to hold, durable, and can easily be used outdoors. The additional editing software allows for precise synch with music recording. The price was reasonable for a digital and does as well as more expensive (and larger) camcorders.

Comments about Panasonic SDR-SW20 SD Waterproof Camcorder (Red):
just as promised - I used it for two weeks sailing in the Carribean, where I left the camar for hours in my wet swimsuit, used in a splashing dinghy etc. - no problem at all. And with 16 Gbyte memory I got 3 1/2 hours of recording time - I never even had to save the data to a computer. The camera is so cool, someone at the airport actually stole it from my checked luggage in Trinidad! Only problem I found is that after about 10 days of use and 1 hour operation a condensing moisture film formed inside the lens causing haze in the image. I disappeard again after the one hour.

Comments about Panasonic SDR-SW20 SD Waterproof Camcorder (Red):
I bought this to take on the kayak, on the beach, at the pool, snorkeling and for use in adverse conditions - it is excellente'. Of course it is not the ultimate in quality, but it doesn't claim to be. The video you get with this camera is video you would not otherwise have. Easy to hold, easy to use, very nice indeed.

Comments about Panasonic SDR-SW20 SD Waterproof Camcorder (Red):
Got one from B&H about two weeks ago. Very small, stylish body but a bit awkward to hold since it does not have a hand strap and the zoom buttons seem to have been placed for a 3 year old hand. I could get around of this if the image quality were not so poor. My other two "point a shoot" digital still cameras (SONY DSC-T100 and CONON SD1100) BOTH do a better job filming, with better focus, better colors, smaller files and lighter bodies. This was not a total waste of money because I do not dare to carry my pocket cameras in the rain and snow, so I hope the Panasonic can really handle it....will see.
