Filming with this camcorder is easy and fun. I have a widescreen LCD TV and shoot in 16:9, and my video looks great on screen. The colors are rich looking, and not oversaturated. The kids play a lot of sports and the long 34x optical zoom is a big plus. Even at full zoom, the image stabilization keeps the video smooth and stable.

We use this camcorder just about every day. We have used it to record our puppy playing. We will be using it this summer when we go on our first family beach vacation. We love the fact that it has a remote and the battery for the camcorder is rechargable. Which does not take long to recharge. If fully drained it takes about 3 hours tops. We love the zoom. We love the fact that all you do is plus the av cables into the tv and can playback the tape. Our puppy thinks there is another puppy and barks right back at it on the tv when playing the tape back.
We can't find anything wrong with the product.
Great buy for the price.

I got this camera because it was inexpensive and wanted to capture my sons athletic events. I am very happy with this camera. it takes great movies and even the option to take still pictures. I didn't want a lot of bells and whistles (though it has a lot), I just wanted something simple and easy and I found it in this Samsung!

I use it mostly to film live music. Very easy to use. It has 2 different tri-pod holes which is a convenient feature for me since I use tri-pod a lot. It has built-in microphone and speaker which I don't use. They are pretty lo-fi. I didn't notice any noise from the cassette motor which was nice. Battery life is too short. But overall it's quite a bargain.

I purchased this camcorder for my Mom, who is not the most tech-savvy person. She loves the simplicity and small size. It uses MiniDV tapes, which are cheap and available almost anywhere, unlike the DVD camera media. This cam is tiny, and easy to stuff into a coat pocket or purse. It doesn't have a viewfinder, but does anyone use those anymore? Screen quality is very good, and it has a DV out (firewire) for those of us who like tinkering with our video on the PC. It even has a small video light built in for shooting in dim light. If you're in the market for a great little non-HD cam and don't want to spend a lot, this should be high on your list. Pair this up with economical Sony Vegas Studio software and make your videos into professional-looking DVD's, or edit them and post to YouTube for not much money at all!

Very nice unit for the price. Wish it had usb ports. Higher end DVD record units do and their price has come down. We installed the fire wire card and got the cable and got excellent connect to PC results.
