Perfect size for solo or small groups. The black material seems perfect thickness to me, and with the right aperture and lighting disappears and the subject just bursts out. Recommend something weighty to put on the stands (even a bag is fine).

I am relatively happy with this backdrop. I was hoping despite the description that it would have a little bit of texture, but it looks more like a bedsheet. It will work fine for what I need it for, but will probably try to find another black backdrop with some sort of texture to it. I would not use this particular backdrop outdoors or under bright lighting.

Deep Black for that classic Portrait look.
I use this for a backdrop for Pet Portraits. And my only complaint is that it's a magnet for light colored fur! More than large enough to get my subject removed from the background and fits perfectly with the First Studio Back Drop Kit.

I use to use an old sheet for a background, but I really didn't know what I was missing. This background has taken my photography and video to a new level. Now that I have this I would really like a 12x24. I think the 10x12 is great for just starting out, or if you are in a tight area, but if you really want to get your subject away from the background and still shoot head to toe then you need the longer 24' background.

I use this for a dark background for light colored objects I shoot, both video and stills. It was easy to steam wrinkles out of the package when received it has a sturdy feel and easy to attach to my backdrop stands and rail.
I can say nothing bad has it fullfils its primary purporse very weel and at avery afordable price point.
I would recommend this to anyone needing a dark backgound.
