As far as I can tell, this card is essentially a video-marketed 8GB SDHC card, so it doesn't have to be used exclusively in a flash-based HD camcorder. I've personally been using it in a Canon TX-1, which is essentially a Canon Powershot digital camera that has the added feature of HD video capture. The card seems perfectly capable of keeping pace with the camera's 720p video recording, and works perfectly fine for still images too. As with other SD cards in capacities exceeding 1 GB, be sure to make sure that your device is compliant with high capacity (SDHC) cards. Some older cameras are only rated for use with standard SD cards, and don't recognize the larger cards as usable media. This also applies to the card reader... an older SD card reader is not compliant with SDHC cards.

My wife and I are using this SD card to record 720p HD video with our Coolpix. The card has plenty of space and is lightning fast. I've been using SanDisk SD and CF cards for years without a single problem. Highly recommended if you're recording 720p or 1080p video.

Super fast and less expensive to comparable "Photo" SD cards. I use this for my DSLR...don't let the Video label confuse you.

We bought 22 of these for a research project. Of these, one wouldn't properly reject from the cameras. [...] Otherwise, I like these cards fine. They're quick, they do what they should do. A great value.

We use SCHD cards in our Panasonic HMC-150 video camera running the maximum 23Mb/Sec format. This SanDisk product performs just as well as cards costing 2x.

I've hardly used this card so I don't have a lot to say except that it seems to do the job and it's neat that it came as a bonus with the Zoom Q3 Handy Video Recorder I bought. Having an extra 6 GB over the 2 GB Kingston card that came standard is a really nice touch.

I bought 3 of these cards since the price is so good and they are Class 6 cards which is suppose to be good for video, also Sandisk has been a reliable brand for me.
I have only had my cards for a short time but in that time they have worked great. I am using them for still photography with 2 different cameras but also wanted the Class 6 cards in case I decide to play doing some video with my camera that can also do HD video.
