The Axis Communications 0241-034 is a surveillance kit containing ten AXIS 207W wireless network cameras. Because of their wireless operation, a single WiFi router can be used to communicate with multiple cameras, making camera installation a quick and easy process. Other important features include simultaneous MPEG-4/M-JPEG data streaming for better network management and a built-in microphone to provide one-way voice communication.
- Wireless Network Interface
- In addition to its ultra compact size, this camera can communicate wirelessly with a network router. This makes it doubly effective for use in applications requiring superior quality video monitoring over a network, with the camera itself remaining as low-key as possible.
- Simultaneous MJPEG & MPEG-4 Streaming
- Video is captured simultaneously in both JPEG and MPEG-4 formats. This provides necessary versatility in transmitting over a network, allowing a user for example to set the camera to display images in the superior quality MJPEG format and at the same time have the camera record in the faster MPEG-4 format to reduce file sizes.
- Built-In Microphone (1-Way Audio)
- A built-in camera microphone greatly enhances security performance by providing a user with the ability to hear as well as see an occurrence.
- Windows & Macintosh Web Browser Access
- Equipped with a built-in network server, this camera is capable of delivering outstanding image quality over a network, which can then be viewed from a remote location simply by logging on to a Windows or Mac Internet browser.
- Direct Recording from Web Browser
- Another feature unique to this camera is its ability to record directly from a standard Internet browser. Other manufacturers either don't support this at all or require the user to purchase additional software.
- Motion Detection
- Built into the camera is a motion detection function configurable for size and sensitivity. Motion detection not only alerts a user to suspicious activities but when used to trigger recording saves valuable search time as well as hard drive and network resources.
- Includes Network Software
- While viewing and recording camera images are possible from a standard Internet browser, installing the included video management software provides a user with a richer network experience. Among other features, it allows multiple cameras to be viewed on a single monitor.
