In addition, this player presents superb functionality and high-end features that will be hard to match, such as six hi-performance 192 KHz Wolfson D/A converters, simultaneous component video and HDMI output, progressive scan w/reverse 3:2 pulldown, and a built-in hybrid power supply. With connectivity to multiple A/V components and playback capabilities of a variety of video and audio formats, the Adcom GDV-870 answers the call with versatility and reliability.

Key Features

• High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI): This powerful player features an HDMI output, capable of upconverting video signals to 720p and 1080i HD. This technology enables the unit to carry the HD audio and video information through a single cable and achieving the highest quality picture and clearest sound available.

• Progressive Scan Capability: This is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen. It also features reverse 3:2 pulldown for film sources.

• Component Video Output: It achieves greater color accuracy and high resolution playback capability when connected via the component output to your projector, plasma and/or LCD/CRT televisions.

• Surround Sound Processing: It has built-in processors to handle the multi-channel decoders for Dolby Digital, DTS, DTS 96/24, DVD-Audio, MLP, MP3, MPEG Multichannel, and Linear PCM audio processing. It employs the use of four DSPs to decode the multi-channel streams of the wide array of audio formats.

• DivX Home Theater Certified: DivX is video compression software which enables high quality video to be compressed into very small files then downloaded onto CD-R or CD-RW and played back with very little loss of quality.

• Home Theater Friendly: Use the digital coaxial or optical audio output to connect the DVD player to your home theater receiver and enjoy full Dolby Digital/DTS surround sound entertainment.

• Backward Compatibility: This player is backward-compatible, enabling playback of your favorite DVDs in HD resolution.

• Hybrid Power Supply: Its Hybrid Power Supply design offers a linear power supply for high-current servo circuits, and a large Toroid Transformer for low noise video and exceptional audio performance.

• Designed for Custom Installations: Features like 12V Trigger I/Os, wired rear panel IR Input, and extended discrete IR codes are all designed for custom install applications.
