The Panasonic WJ-RT416/3000V is a high performance DVR designed with an emphasis on providing the best possible image quality while preserving storage and network resources. Video is recorded in the highly versatile MPEG-4 compression format and at speeds up to 30 IPS per channel. This degree of resolution and frame rates greatly enhances the ability to closely identify people and objects, making this DVR an essential tool for use in critical security applications such as banks, shopping and financial centers and government facilities.

Cameras connected to channels 1-4 of this DVR can be PTZ controlled via coaxial using an optional Panasonic WV-CU650 keyboard controller. A further 4 cameras (channels 4-8) can be controlled via coaxial by installing an optional control expansion board (WV-PB4164). Cameras connected to channels 9-16 are PTZ controlled via this DVR's RS-485 communication protocol.

- Full Network Capabilities
- By connecting the DVR to a network and installing the included software on a PC, cameras and recordings can be accessed from a remote location over the Internet. Among other functions, this software provides a user with the ability to save video and audio to the local PC, change or set camera parameters and view alarm conditions.
- Large Storage Capacity
- This DVR ships with a total of 3000GB (3TB) of storage space. Unlike other DVRs which require an external, bulky HDD device, all of this unit's hard drives are installed internally. This translates into less desk and rack space requirements and also makes it easy to install and transport the DVR. With this much storage space, video from all cameras could very well be recorded at their highest frame rates and resolutions for long periods of time before there's any need to start overwriting material.
