Video Cassettes are not included, and the standard battery included with your camcorder tends to provide less than an hour of recording time. In order to start shooting right away - and with longer shooting times - you will need to purchase video cassettes, and a longer-lasting battery. In order to protect your camera's lens, you will need a UV filter.
The camcorder's 3 CCDs deliver outstanding picture quality, accurate color reproduction and a wide dynamic range with virtually no color noise. Canon has improved a broadcast technology to create a new form of Pixel Shift technology, producing higher picture quality than that of camcorders using CCDs with almost twice the number of pixels. In addition to its enhanced quality, the camera incorporates a built-in digital photo mode for capturing crisp photos up to 1488 x 1128 pixels.
This package comes with a large list of additional accessories, including a wide-angle conversion lens, battery pack, extra tapes, on-camera lighting kit, LCD hood, and camera case.
