When it comes to tackling the complex PTZ operations in a commercial security environment, the Axis Communications AXIS 233D is a proven champion. With a powerful 35x optical zoom and an unprecedented maximum 480°/sec pan and tilt speed, the AXIS 233D is one of the most capable network PTZ cameras in the industry. As such, it is an obvious choice for securing airports, stadiums, ports and similar demanding applications requiring the ability to clearly see distant objects as well as quickly follow an object's movements.
- Powerful 35x Optical Zoom
- People and objects of interest can quickly be brought into view using the camera's powerful 35x optical plus 12x digital zoom. In practical terms, it will allow a user to zoom in and read a vehicle's license from a distance of 525 feet (160m).
- High Speed Pan & Tilt Operation
- A maximum pan and tilt speed of 480°/sec is something to behold. Used together with the camera's powerful zoom, this degree of speed will allow a user to zoom in on a person walking at a distance of 1300 feet (400m) and pan/tilt to any preset in less than 1.5 seconds. There's also a freeze frame function, which will hold the current image between presets to make it easier to work with. Additionally, an E-flip function will auto rotate the camera 180° in order to keep an object moving directly beneath the dome displayed in the upright position.
