I just returned from a vacation to Mexico where I used this bag for the first time. I loved it, especially for our day long hiking tour of the Mayan ruins. I loved that I could shoot with my hands free and then rotate the bag around front to put my camera away without taking the bag off. I have two small children that often want to be carried still and I can have this on my back and still pick them up too. The zippers all work really well (which is something I'm picky about) and the bag is very well constructed. There's plenty of room for my DSLR, two extra lenses, my charger, memory cards, extra batteries and then the top compartment I use for a couple filters, my wallets, sunglasses (diapers on occasion) keys, etc. The strap is wide enough that it doesn't rub or hurt and the bag is really well padded.

Comments about Pentax D-SLR Sling Bag (Black):
lots of room and all sorts of small pockets for batteries, memory cards, instruction book for my new camera and lens. Seems very well constructed and large openings that are not like some of the old reviews that complain about small openings. Perfect for my new pentax SLR

Fits two camera bodies and 4 lenses comfortably. Will use it extensively. Only one draw back, it works well for a right handed person, but a little ackward for us lefties. But like it anyway.

Comments about Pentax D-SLR Sling Bag (Black):
For those who like sling bags, this is a good one! The numerous adjustable, velcro tabbed dividers make customizing the storage to fit your gear very easy. I have seen none better in this regard. For a larger DSLR like a K-7 with Battery Grip, the camera storage compartment is a little bit of a tight squeeze. For that application, I would look to a different style of bag. The strap on this is well padded and adjustable. The styling and the fabric are really first-rate!

I use this for my DSLR (Pentax K-x). I got this bag in a kit. I was worried looking at the picture that it would be too big, but came in the mail and was the perfect size. It is perfect if you have (or plan to have) about 3 or four lenses (yet it can fit more). There is a really cool spot (above where the camera is) to put your memory cards. There is a neat spot for a flash as well. You will also have plenty room up top for accessories. It is also neat that every thing can be re arranged (Velcro). I would have though that this would sell for more.

The single strap is uncomfortable and unusuable. The three compartments are poorly sized. No place to hang a tripod. Why not just make it a backpack?

Comments about Pentax D-SLR Sling Bag (Black):
I got this bag free with a camera purchase, and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. The one diagonal strap was a concern, but I think it keep the bag more stable than a conventional setup. I shoot race cars on large road courses, and it's nice to be able to throw this bag on quickly and jump on my bike to get to a new location. It fits my k-x with a 100-300 just fine, but any bigger lenses probably wouldn't work.

This bag was included as a special with my K-X. After getting it, I think its worth the price comparing it to ones I've seen in stores. Great size and layout. Fits the camera and kit lenses well.

Comments about Pentax D-SLR Sling Bag (Black):
This is a handy little pack to have for 1 DSLR w/ lens attached and 3 additional lenses and misc. items (batteries, charger, mem cards, etc). It's convenient to swing the bag around and pull out your camera, swing it behind you and take some shots, and then to put it away again. The pack is small and light, so it doesn't seem obtrusive.
The camera fits very snug into this pack, which is good and bad. I feel confident my camera is safe when stored in the bag and that it can withstand small falls/drops w/o anything breaking. On the other side of the fence, with the camera in there so snug, it takes a little more time to pull the camera out and put back in.
This bag is just big enough for your camera equipment. If you want to tote something else around, you'll need another bag. I kept thinking all the padding on the back might have been excessive and a little bit taken out in hopes of fitting some thin books or cheat cards in there.
No place for a tripod, but if you have a small gorilla-pod or similar you might be able to fit it into one of the compartments.
No place for a small bottle of water.
Like i said, this pack is for your camera equipment, and that's about it.

Holds everything I want to carry and more. I can use it not just for a camera bag but can add items to it to carry around and not be bothered by an extra bag. The sling strap and waist strap keep it in place so I can have my hands free to do what I want.

Comments about Pentax D-SLR Sling Bag (Black):
For the price you can't beat the quality and durability of this bag! I shopped around quite a bit before deciding on this bag; I even went to my local camera store to try on different models before purchasing this one. I love the sling feature because it is easy to get in and out of the pockets without taking the bag all the way off and the bag itself provides great protection for the camera equipment while still feeling lightweight.
I use this bag for my SLR body, two medium-sized lenses, various filters, batteries/recharger, cleaning kit, a small digital video camera, extra memory cards, instruction manuals, etc. and still have some room to spare. I was able to adjust the compartments to exactly fit my equipment for the best possible cushioning, which I really like, and even after having my 2 y/o son throw the camera bag off the bed (yikes!)-I didn't hear so much as a rattle on impact and there was no damage to the equipment.
