vai ajudar a capturar a ação rápida no momento certo.
Digital Photo Professional fornecido.

I have owned and used SLRs since the mid-60's. In the late 90's, I bought an EOS 3 to take advantage of the automatic focus to take pitures of my new child, who, of course, would not stay still long enough to focus manually. For me, that EOS 3 was and is the greatest, most versatile film camera ever made, and because I liked it so much, I put off buying a decent DSLR for years.
Finally, about 6 weeks ago, I broke down and bought the XSi, and I can't tell you how impressed I am with it. The EOS 3 is now permanently retired. We recently returned from a week in Washington, having taken way too many pictures of the monuments and museums, and I am pleased with this camera in every way.
One of the things I wanted was a camera that was lighter than the EOS 3, and the XSi is that, though the body is so light, the lenses weigh it down and unbalance it somewhat. On the plus side, the heavier lenses give you a reminder that it is the lens that takes the picure, and you wind up holding the lens to balance the camera, which produces steadier pictures.
The color and sharpness of the pictures produced is astonishing to me. One admonition - when taking pictures indoors, be aware of the light source. Automatic white balance will probably not render colors the way you see them if the light source is incandescent or flourescent. Try the other white balances in test shots to get the color balance your prefer.
I must say that the "live view" feature is interesting, but largely useless in the run of the mill picture taking situations. I find that using the viewfinder is much easier to use, and will lead to much more satisfactory results.
I found the controls, menus and options pretty easy to learn and use, and so far they give me every option I expect to need; I find it hard to imagine that I might need one to the more "sophisticated" Canon products. Further, the megapixel count seems to me more than sufficient to produce very high quality prints, even with substantial compression.
Canon is coming out with a new dslr, the XTi, I believe. So far as I can tell, the principal differences are a slightly higher megapixel count, about 15.5, and a Digic 4 processor, which lets one take movies with the camera. The increased megapixel count is superfluous to me, and I don't want to take movies with my SLR. If you share these views, the XSi is going to be a hell of a buy.
In short, I am deeply impressed with this camera, and expect to live a long and happy life with it.

I bought this camera as a back up for my Canon 40D. I like all the features. The drawback is that it hunts for focus when in AF mode meaning it has a hard time finding a focus point. The only way I found to remidy this is to manually select the center focus point, recompose my shot, lock in the exposure and then take the picture. Not very convient for me and takes up too much time.

This is a great camera for the price. If you aren't looking into video, this has a great feature set for still pictures at a very attractive price. I'm really happy with it.

I've wanted to take higher quality pictures for awhile, and after months of research, I settled on the Canon Rebel XSi. It's intimidating to make the jump from a P&S camera to one that allows so much control over what I can produce but it's been a joy to use. As an entry-level DSLR user, this camera offers tons of options that I'm sure I'll still be learning about for years to come, while still allowing me to grow at my own pace.

We bought this camera because we have three young kids. It's often difficult to catch them in the moment. This camera does capture the moment, as it is quick to snap photos. We have had some difficulty with focusing, but I think that's more error on our part. (It seems to focus on something else in the picture.) Sometimes we have trouble with overexposure in natural light as well, but again, I think it's probably a learning curve. Both of these problems occur in the auto setting. It's night feature is great and works well. We're still in the learning stage with this camera. I love how easy it is to use.

I purchased this camera because I have used my brothers camera and seen a lot of pictures. I was so impressed with them that I decided to purchase my own camera. This camera has been perfect for my outdoor activities, hiking, climbing, camping and taking pictures of all the people I love. I would recommend this camera and B&H to anyone I know!

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera (a.k.a. 450D) (Black) (Camera Body):
Bought just the body because I was told I could use my 10-15 year old lenses. Though they fit, I could only occasionally take a picture (w/o auto-focus), and even then had to restart the camera due to an error code. (Naturally, I bought a new lens.) Otherwise the camera is just what I wanted: mix of auto & manual controls easily accessible with buttons & dials (and not necessarily via LCD screen menus).

One of the best Rebels ever. If you don't need video the Xsi is a bargain with plenty of features and excellent image quality. Good high ISO performance through ISO 800; I rarely shoot any higher.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera (a.k.a. 450D) (Black) (Camera Body):
This camera is everything I wanted it to be and more! I'm a beginner to the SLR world, but could not have asked for a better starter camera. The menu is easy to get through and explains things well. I like how light the body is, and it is a much smaller fit in my hands than I expected, but for me that's great. There is a long battery life as far as I can tell and it charges quickly. The software for my computer was easy to install and I got the pictures downloaded without a problem.
The only thing that's not so great is that I don't know how to utilize all of its amazing features yet!
P.S. I went with the 50mm 1.8 lens instead of the kit lens because of the great things I heard about it. There is not a zoom, but the pictures I've been able to take with it are great! I would recommend that as well!

I bought the Canon EOS Rebel XSi a few weeks ago and I have really enjoyed working with it. I had an old Canon EOS so the using all my lens and equipment was a huge plus. After a lot of research I chose the XSi and I am glad I did. The clear 3 inch screen is awesome and the controls are exactly like my old camera.

I upgraded from an Olympus 2mp P&S, so you can see why I love this camera so much. It feels good to finally be able to adjust the settings manually and to have lens versatility. I currently use a 50 mm prime primarily, but will eventually use the 70-200 L when it gets a bit warmer out. T
The camera is easy to use and the results are great. I will use this 50% of the time for aviation photography, and the rest for miscellaneous shots.

I use this for taking photos for my vintage store online and also for amateur photography as a hobby.
The body is lightweight and sturdy, and all of the features are easily accessible and user-friendly. Still learning by reading the manual ("Please don't loose any of these items." - great tip, Canon!) but so far I've not found anything about it I don't like.
Was able to begin using it right away after looking at the Quick Guide just to be on the safe side.
Compared to what I was using before, the shutter speed on this is amazing! Very happy with the purchase, look forward to trying other accessories with it in the long term.
