The Axis Communications 0275-021 is a surveillance kit containing ten AXIS 209FD-R rugged cameras. These cameras are specifically designed for installation inside public transportation buses and trains. As such, they securely attach to the ceiling of the vehicle and with their durably constructed enclosure are effectively protected from dust, humidity and vibration. This level of durability translates into long term dependable operation in tough monitoring conditions involving lots of people coming and going, frequent changes in temperature and a high degree of motion. To discourage tampering, these cameras use special screws to attach to a surface. For simplified installation, cameras are powered by their Ethernet cable, allowing camera placement in areas with no direct access to an AC outlet.
- Withstands Tough Environments
- Special consideration went into the design of the camera and enclosure to ensure long term dependable operation in tough monitoring conditions such as those encountered inside a mass transportation bus or train. By incorporating a compact and rugged enclosure, this camera is effectively protected from dust, vibration, humidity and temperature changes.
- Tampering Alarm
- In addition to its flat, tamper resistant design, this camera features a built-in alarm system, which will activate an alert if it senses somebody trying to remove, obscure or spray paint the camera.
- Built-In Heater
- A small built-in heater provides additional protection against humidity by removing any condensation buildup on the lens.
- Easy Installation
- A special external hinge mechanism allows easy camera angle adjustments to compensate for installations involving a sloped ceiling or side panel surface. Additionally, a service monitor port allows installation personnel to make quick camera adjustments while viewing the results in real time on a small hand held monitor.
- PoE (Power over Ethernet)
- PoE further simplifies the installation process by allowing the use of a single Ethernet cable to supply both data and power to the camera.
