The Acrobat Capture 3.0 Personal Edition Software for Windows from Adobe is an object character recognition (OCR) software package that allows you to convert printed text documents to the standard PDF file format. The software includes a hardware dongle that allows you to convert up to 20,000 pages to searchable PDF format. Additionally, an unlimited number of pages can be converted to PDF image format, which cannot be searched. Acrobat Capture is an excellent choice for converting a large number of paper documents to digital PDF format.
- Paper to PDF
- Acrobat Capture allows you to convert paper documents to PDF format. This allows you to save physical storage space by scanning archived records into a computer.
- OCR, Font and Page Recognition
- The software can recognize documents in 8 languages: US English, UK English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish. It can save files in PDF Normal, PDF Image and PDF Image+Text file formats. It also supports HTML, ASCII, RTF, Microsoft Word and Corel WordPerfect file formats.
- Versatile Scanning Options
- Acrobat Capture supports ISIS and TWAIN drivers for use with popular desktop and high-volume scanners. It supports scanning of pages up to 27 x 27" in size in batches of up to 20,000 pages per run.
- 20,000 Page License
- The software includes a hardware dongle which allows you to capture up to 20,000 pages in searchable PDF format. Additional hardware dongles can be purchased in 20,000 or 100,000 page blocks as needed. The software license also allows you to capture an unlimited number of pages as image only PDF files; this type of PDF file cannot be searched.
