The 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400 ECC DDR2 FB-DIMM SDRAM for Desktop from Apple can help to greatly increase the speed of your desktop computer. - Synchronous Dynamic RAM (SDRAM)
- SDRAM cycles are precisely controlled using the system clock, making your memory usage stable and more efficient. This chip uses this synchronous interface and has an ultrafast reaction to its clock-pulsed finite state machine. The pipeline design of the SDRAM allows for command after command to line up and be powered off at the next control input. There is no need to wait for data anymore - you have SDRAM.
- Double Data Rate (DDR) Architecture
- The DDR architecture allows for two data transfers per clock cycle, increasing data transfer speed. This translates into better performance from your computer.
- Fully Buffered
- This FB-DIMM features data buffering that helps to increase the data bandwidth of the memory. This helps to improve chip performance when dealing with intensive applications.
- Error Checking
- The memory features Error Correction Code (ECC), which allows for easy identification of error source and for the immediate response to data malfunctions.
