The Nikon Coolpix P60 Digital Camera is a blend of orthodox camera styling with an advanced feature set and operating ease. Built on a custom application of Nikon's innovative EXPEED digital image processing concept, the Coolpix P60 is built to provide optimum performance and maximum image quality. It also features a 5x Zoom-Nikkor lens that can zoom in tight for photo subjects ranging from landscapes to close-up portraits.
The camera also has Nikon's Optical VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization system which compensates for camera shake or movement by unsteady subjects to achieve sharper results. It has extended light sensitivity up to ISO 2000 to further help prevent blurred shots when shooting in lower light, or when capturing fast-moving subjects.
From its functional body design, with stable grip and rubber thumb rest, to the intuitive operation of its Mode dial, complete with a setting for Manual shooting mode, the Coolpix P60 is extremely versatile. Its electronic viewfinder enables accurate composition, even in bright sunlight, and the bright 2.7-inch LCD monitor is also easy to view in most lighting conditions. Power is supplied by readily available AA-size batteries, which means that the Coolpix P60 can be used in virtually any location without worrying about recharging or running out of power.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix P60 Digital Camera (Black):
I purchased two of these for my daughters for Christmas. Both picked them up right out of the box, put in batteries and a memory card then started taking pictures.
Features seem to be very easy to use. I like the face technology recognition with this camera.
My youngest also has a DSLR and wanted something she could carry in her purse. Working very well for her.
Batteries seem to be holding up, using rechargables.
Great camera for the money

Comments about Nikon Coolpix P60 Digital Camera (Black):
This was my first digital camera purchase. It is very easy to use and takes really nice shots. I am still learning all the different features but overall very pleased with my purchase. It is also simple to transfer to my computer. I would suggest the camera to anyone looking for a good digital at a reasonable price.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix P60 Digital Camera (Black):
I purchased the camera right before going on vacation since my 35 mm was failing after 30 years. My 9 year old daughter taught me how to do the basics without even reading the manual. Our vacation pictures came out great. It will me some time to learn more about the features since this is my first digital camera. The batteries that it came with did not last long.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix P60 Digital Camera (Black):
I bought this camera to take along on a trip to Rome and Malta because I didn't want to haul my D70 and extra lenses. All through the trip I was able to slip this little beauty in my pocket and take amazingly sharp images. I actually shot over 4000 pictures on a 2-week trip!
Since tripods are banned in the Vatican, the VR feature came in awfully handy. Other good features were the "Night Portrait" and "Museum" settings. I probably would have liked to had the extra "reach" of the lens on the P80, but I didn't miss it much, nor did I miss the D70 except on a few occasions. It would be nice if Nikon had a P&S that shot RAW, but it's not essential.
All in all, an excellent value for the money!

Comments about Nikon Coolpix P60 Digital Camera (Black):
I got my mom a Nikon Coolpix P60 for Mother's Day and had a chance to use it for a couple days before. It was comfortable in your hand with the batteries providing a nice gripper and in your pocket. At 8.1MP, a bright 2.5" screen, a 5x glass lens with vibration reduction, electronic viewfinder, high ISO, and in-camera image-editing tools, she got twice the camera at half the price of her Coolpix 4100 from 3 years ago. If you've used Nikon Coolpix camera's the controls and menus will be familiar.
