Problem: Using a BlackRapid R4 on a camera with a tripod quick release plate is a pain because the R4 d-ring must be unscrewed from the QR plate for tripod mounting.
Solution: I knew there was an alternative to the R4 d-ring and Op/Tech delivered with Adapt-Its. I inserted a single Adapt-Its in the strap hole on the QR plate and after tightening the QR plate I securely attached the R4 to the Adapt-Its. With this kit I can quickly transition from tripod to handhold without removing any screw mounted accessories!
Concern: I wasn't confident that a single Adapt-Its could be trusted to suspend a costly 5D mkII w/heavy glass, but was proven wrong after a few absurd tests. My first test involved placing two screwdrivers through the Adapt-Its loophole and tugging with all my might to stretch the loop to the point of breakage. No luck. I then enlisted the help of a friend and we were still unsuccessful. Third, I froze the Adapt-Its in my freezer, but simply could not break the frozen piece of plastic! The final test really highlighted the durability of this product… I boiled the Adapt-Its for 4+ minutes, fished the loop out of scalding water and still could not stretch the loop to the point of breakage! These things are ridiculously resilient and I feel 100% confident using a single Adapt-Its to suspend my entire rig from a BlackRapid R4 (also an awesome product).

These are very hard plastic and did not work well with my Canon 60D that has the slits going in different directions. It took a lot of force to get one of them in and it was impossible to get the other one in. It does come with 2 sets and they are cheap enough that they were worth a try.

Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
I had doubts when I ordered these that they would fit properly in the camera strap slots of my Sony a200. One slot is parallel to the body of the camera, the other is at 90 degrees. But I heated the adapt-its in hot water for about 5 minutes, and they slid right in -- no problems! They fit great and appear to be very durable. I had a couple of very small swivel hooks from an old purse strap and I had my 'quick release' camera strap all set up 5 minutes later.

Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
Like some other reviewers, I purchased these for use with my BlackRapid RS-7 strap. I love that strap but it was impossible to use when there was a quick release plate, for a tripod, fastened to my camera. This made setting up my tripod a real pain. With these adapt-its, I can now use both simultaneously; switching from tripod to strap is easy as pie!
I have a Canon 7D and it's very difficult to get these on the camera, at first (to me, that's a good thing, it means they're not flimsy). If you follow OP/Tech's advice and put them in very hot (think tea brewing temp) water for 60 seconds, it gets easier.
Once they're on, they work perfectly!

a simple, elegant and inexpensive piece of the solution to my protracted search for a snap-on, snap-off customized camera strap system. these connectors are sturdier than i ever would have guessed. they allow for easy switch to a variety of neck or shoulder strap configurations while side-stepping connection "tails" or forced choice of a quick-release tripod plate as the fix point for strap connections.

Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
Purchased a camera shoulder strap for my Canon - came with no means of connecting to camera - these seem to be very heavy duty (and after a little hot water, some heavy twine and little elbow grease, slipped right into the camera slots). Would hardheartedly recommend to anyone with a similar problem. Saved me from sending the strap back.

Do what thet are designed too, are constructed very strongly and apear should hold up in the long run. I now can swap out 2 different neck straps whenever I want with ease, or remove it completley when using a tripod in just seconds.............you do need to soak them in hot water to attach to a 5D Mk II, but was not a negative at all, I know it is never going to slip out & get lost
Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
I added this product to my Sling Strap for easy clipping on and off. I never liked depending on a 1/4" parachute chord as camera support and this solves the problem. A little hard to install on some cameras, but a little boiling water solves the problem.
Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
Softened them up in boiling water and installed them on my Canon DSLR so I could use a quick release strap. These adapt-its work great.

I use these on a Canon 5d Mark ii and they are doing their job well, along side two ConnectR-2's. It is a little hard to get the Adapt-It's in the camera, but with a little bit of twine (or floss) you can pull it part way through, then take a pair of pliers and finish pulling it through. I didn't mind how hard it was to get it through, it feels very secure.

I wanted to be able to use hock straps on the E-PL1 and bought these just in case.
At that price, they are a steal. You get 2 sets.
They came to my house on a -20C day so I found them hard as rock. But after warming to house temperature, they could be bent easily into the camera slit. One could use a hot air gun or something else too.
Indestructible they appear to be.

These are very solid and I feel confident hanging my camera from them. I have a 7D and it took me about 10 minutes of pushing to squeeze these into the strap slots on the camera. A bit harder than necessary, but at least you know they won't come out easily. Can't beat the price.

Allows you to use a strap with snap connection or split ring connector on a camera that accepts a strap and buckle connection. I find using a strap with a split ring connector a much cleaner arrangement on a Canon camera. Can be difficult to install on some cameras, easier using a heat source and needle nose pliers. Very simple and inexpensive.

I bought this so I can use my Wapiti camera strap and a snap hook for a QR system nice

I purchased the adapt-its for my Nikon D90. this product works great, the fit is perfect and it allows me to quickly remove the strap when I choose.I would definitely recommend this product to others.
Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
Built-in SLR camera strap attachment lugs are located on both sides of the camera body; however most of today's lenses weigh the camera at a forward tilt, straining the strap with a kink. Using snap hooks at the ends of the camera strap, the connection to the "Adapt-Its" is perfect.

If you look "indestructible" in a dictionary, adapt-its picture should be right next to it.
Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
It works, but on my camera it is better to install it so the slit is down on the camera. It seems to work ok but I've only used it for a couple weeks, so I don't know how well it will hold up over time.

Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
As others have mentioned, you actually get 4 of these little things in a package. Can't beat the price for 4 of them. There are many uses for these cool little things, but I use them with the Utility Strap Swivel Hook By Op/Tech USA. The strap has hooks which hook to these adapt-its on my Canon DSLR. This method leaves the smallest "footprint" of a strap I know short of not having a strap at all.
Now, here is a big tip when installing these Adapt-Its. This is only my personal experience with my Canon XSi and 7D bodies. On one side, it will be easy to push this adapt-it through the hole. You may have to flex it and bend it a little but you should be able to get it thru that side with relative ease. Now the other side where the "eyelet" for lack of a better term is recessed in a "groove" (?), I had a tough time getting it thru that hole. Finally I just tore a small piece of paper (or anything thin and small), placed it under the adapt-it and shoved as much of it into the hole as possible. With a small edge of the paper sticking thru, I grabbed it and pull on the paper while pushing on the adapt-it. That piece of paper basically helped give me some leverage and to guide it thru the hole/eyelet. I hope that made sense.
A note about the strength of these little things. I have them on my Canon 7D with battery grip and a 70-200 f/2.8IS attached and the Utility Strap Swivel Hook By Op/Tech USA and I have no fears about my camera falling or breaking off my neck. I've also read others mention how they've tested these by hanging heavy things on these adapt-its overnight without problems. I tend to agree... so far I have no fear about these things breaking. They are tough little things. Try em. They're cheap.

Comments about OP/TECH USA System Connectors-Adapt-Its:
these were very difficult to get through the camera strap rings. I wanted a way to attach my homemade r-strap to the camera with out using the screw adapter since I use my tripod often enough. I eventually attached one to the hand strap on my battery grip and the camera works with ease and I can still use my QRP for my tripod. I am more worried about the steel bar on the battery grip giving out before one of these.
