Sharp's LC-37D44U has exactly what you are looking for in a HD LCD TV; sharp, bright, clear, detailed picture in a stylish body. The Advanced Super View LCD screen gives 1500:1 contrast and minimizes glare and distortion. It can be displayed on its tabletop stand, or mounted on a wall.
This set features HDMI connectivity, integrated QAM/ATSC/NTSC tuner, and a swift response time, for crisp un-blurred images. The 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a true 16:9 aspect ratio allow widescreen movies to be viewed the way they were meant to be. The 450 cd/m² brightness rating provides vivid picture, even when placed near windows, doors, or other light sources. It also offers a 176° viewing angle so everyone in the room can enjoy the picture, no matter where they are seated. The PC input allows this display to be used as a 37" computer monitor as well.

A small viewing room and a custom built entertainment center that I love, and hides most of my home theater hardware, limited me to a 37" HDTV. I researched many of the models available in this size and decided on this one from Sharp.
The picture is, in a word, awesome. I haven't experienced the "ghosting" of fast moving images some report with LCD's. Setup was easy, lots of inputs, lots of picture fine tuning.
My only complaint is the sound from the built in speakers is horrible. With the enhanced bass setting on, the treble turned all the way down and the bass turned all the way up it's almost bearable. Almost. They're bad. Really bad. Did I mention they are bad? Thankfully my home theater alleviates the need to listen to the built-ins, but sometimes I don't feel like powering up the system.

Just got this yesterday and was real easy to hook up. It has a great picture the best by far from any other lcd. I owned this has a awesome picture and viewing dvd movies, video games are by far are very easy on the eyes. And would recommend to friend and family members. Thanks
