The Samsung GX-20 SLR Digital Camera combines comprehensive functions, stunning design, and ease of use in a durable camera body. With a 14.6 megapixel image sensor, the GX-20 produces sharp images with rich colors and greater dynamic range. The camera can capture both JPEG & RAW File formats and it is equipped with a one-touch RAW button that makes it easy to capture a RAW image of that special scene, even if the camera is set to capture in the JPEG format. Additionally, RAW files can be directly converted to the more universal JPEG format right in the camera via the built-in converter. The GX-20 is also fast - providing continuous shooting at 3 fps so users will always get that great action shot.
The Samsung GX-20 is compatible with Samsung's own lenses and is also compatible with all Pentax lenses (the camera uses the Pentax KAF2 bayonet mount). Furthermore, with its powerful built-in Optical Picture Stabilization (OPS) technology, the GX-20 prevents blurred pictures by shifting the CCD to counter any movement of the camera's body, and ensures sharper images - even in low light with slower shutter speeds. And since the system is built into the body - you'll get the benefits of the OPS system with any compatible lens - there is no need to purchase special anti-shake lenses.
The GX-20 has a wide view 2.7" TFT Color LCD Display that provides a Live View feature which provides for easier shooting from odd angles that would be difficult to shoot from, using the optical viewfinder. The camera body is also water & dust-resistant so that you can shoot under most conditions and the advanced Dual Dust Removal System built into the GX-20 removes problematic particles from the sensor, resulting in perfect, blemish-free pictures with minimum effort on the part of the photographer.

- The GX-20 captures amazingly vivid images with exquisite details and a maximum resolution of 14.6 Megapixels thanks to its APS-C size CMOS image sensor.
- Built-in Optical Image Stabilization
- The GX-20's built-in OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) gives you clear, steady pictures in low light situations using slow shutter speeds or with long telephoto lenses - conditions that often create image blurring. The system prevents shake by detecting camera movements and then moves the image sensor in the opposite direction to compensate. And since the system is built into the camera body, it will work with any lens.
- Dual Dust Reduction System
- The GX-20 keeps your image sensor clear of dust using two technologies. First, an Anti-Dust Coating right on the image sensor filter prevents dust from attaching to the surface and affecting your image, and second, if dust does happen to get on the sensor filter, the Dust Removal Function vibrates the image sensor to remove any dust that might be present - resulting in flawless, clean pictures.
- Water and Dust Resistant Body
- Feel free to take pictures on dusty or rainy days with the GX-20 - the camera body is resistant to the intrusion of dust and moisture so it can be safely used in rainy, dusty, or sandy conditions. The GX-20 features 72 locations that are perfectly sealed with silicone to shield the camera's insides from water, dust, sand, and other potentially harmful intruders.

- The high quality glass pentaprism and Natural-Bright-Matte II Focusing screen ensures that the viewfinder of the GX-20 is clear and bright, plus it offers a remarkable 95% field of view with 0.95x magnification for precision framing.
- Fast Image Processing
- GX-20 utilizes a cutting-edge image processor and Samsung high-speed DDR2 memory to realize fast, high-quality imaging. The DSP enables more natural definition, a wide range of gradation, fast continuous shooting, and a prompt response to dynamic subjects.
- Precise White Balance Adjustment
- While most existing white-balancing functions use only standard values according to the situation, the GX-20 provides delicate, 100K step color temperature adjustments which give a more accurate white-balance control.
- 11-point Auto Focus
- The GX-20 measures focus at 11 points to include subjects at different distances. It applies 9 central focus points to adjust the focus accurately from any direction, and two additional left and right focus points give the GX-20 great focusing flexibility. Also provided is the focus point converting function (by which a user can choose the location of the Auto Focus subject) and the super-impose function for adding a red highlight at the focus point.
- Large 2.7" LCD Monitor
- The GX-20 features a 2.7" high-resolution LCD monitor providing an ultra-wide viewing angle covering all directions. The 230,000-pixel resolution of the LCD guarantees a clear image preview as well as comfortable viewing of the menus and camera status info.
- Live View Function
- No more need to squint into a viewfinder to see your subject. With the Live View function, you can use the camera's 2.7" LCD display to comfortably frame your shots - even at unusual angles.
- Digital Filter
- Creative in-camera digital filters allow users to edit photos right in the camera. The digital filters include HDR (High dynamic range), Black-and-white, Sepia, Soft, Illustration and Slim. Each filter has a range of settings to fine tune the effect.
- Digital Preview
- Preview your images on the LCD display and see how that image will be affected by changes in the camera settings - all without having to actually take a picture. The Digital preview can even show changes in the depth-of-field or the overall color balance of your image as you alter the cameras settings.
- Versatile Exposure Controls
- The GX-20 has the exposure modes you'd expect from any full function SLR including a Shutter-Priority (Tv) mode that lets you choose the optimal shutter speed and an Aperture-Priority (Av) mode lets you select the appropriate aperture. Plus, you may choose from Manual (M), Bulb (B) and X-sync (X) settings for even more versatility, Plus the unique Sensitivity-Priority AE (Sv) mode is designed to automatically select the optimum combination of aperture and shutter speed for a selected sensitivity, and in the SV mode, you may shift the sensitivity simply by turning a dial.
- 'My Settings' Function
- The 'My Settings' mode lets you pre-select the modes you prefer to use most often and access those functions faster and more easily. The camera also has a 'Green Button' to automatically adjust exposure during manual photography.
- Built-in Flash and External Flash Options
- The GX-20 has a powerful pop-up flash built right into the camera so you'll always have the ability to throw more light at your subject. The camera also works with external flashes and provides P-TTL flash control through its Hot-shoe and also has an X-Sync socket for triggering monolights or other external flash systems.
- Direct RAW File Editing and JPEG Conversion
- Converting from RAW files into JPEG is easy with the GX-20's built-in RAW converter. No more complicated software is needed to convert RAW files to JPEG format. Plus the camera allows users to utilize in-camera image editing features on both the RAW and the JPEG files.
- Pixel Mapping
- All digital cameras develop dead pixels from time to time, so Pixel Mapping is used to identify the problem pixels and corrects the bad pixels on the spot automatically.
- Direct Print Capable
- The GX-20 Digital Camera is compatible with PictBridge, DPOF, Exif Print and PRINT Image Matching III systems, so you can print quality images using PictBridge supported printers - without the need for a computer.
