Comments about Roland CS-15R Stereo Microphone Kit for CD-2E CD Recorder:
I use the CS-15R with my Roland CD-2E CD recorder to do live stereo recordings of myself singing and playing the guitar. The mic does a great job picking up everything I do. The results are a marked improvement over the internal stereo mics on the CD-2E. I position myself about 2 feet away from the mic for the best recording quality. I bought a small table top stand that helps with quality as well.
This mic is NOT powered by the CD-2E recorder! I found this out one day when I left it turned on. The next time I tried to record, the battery was dead. Lesson learned. Thankfully, the watch-type battery that powers the CS-15R isn't expensive, but I had to go to a special battery store to find it.
Great little mic for the money. Mine has paid for itself.
