I bought this a few days before a 30-hr round-trip drive that I made with my 17-mo old son. I did several hours of research online and went to 4 different stores to see products firsthand. I was initially concerned that this model didn't specifically advertise anti-skip technology, but on a consumer testing site I found that this one did very well in that category. Surprisingly there aren't many portable DVD players that have anti-skip technology. I had absolutely no problem on the road even with construction zones and poor road quality. The DVD sound and quality were perfect, there were no technical issues, and everything worked beautifully as advertised. I wedged a small towel under one side so that the unit would tilt toward my son's car seat which is situated in the middle, but I don't consider this a downside of the system. I knew how the headrest holder worked when I bought it. Overall, I am so pleased with every aspect of the device, and it is no understatement to say that it saved me on our trip.
