Comments about Audioengine AW1 Premium Wireless Audio Adapter (Black):
easy to set up after reading the instructions, I have used it on most devices in house -Droid, IPad, PC, Mac - the sound is good and no interference from the wireless router

Comments about Audioengine AW1 Premium Wireless Audio Adapter (Black):
Very simple to use - just plug one unit into your laptop, and the other unit into the back of your hi-fi (comes with a USB power adaptor as your hi-fi probably won't)
Then the music just streams, simple!
Only question is why something so simple is quite so expensive?

Comments about Audioengine AW1 Premium Wireless Audio Adapter (Black):
I plugged the "Sender" into a high end Dell laptop which was sending mediocre sound quality to a pair of Audioengine A5 powered speakers using a wired connection from the headphone jack. I know usb bypasses interference and having less wire clutter is also great.
It paired with the "Receiver" with no fuss after quickly loading windows drivers and I could immediately hear the difference - like lifting a veil from the sound.
I'm looking forward to hearing further improvement using a MacBook which seems to have better sound output to start with. Also with a projector and receiver, it eliminates wires for a surround setup.

Comments about Audioengine AW1 Premium Wireless Audio Adapter (Black):
These things seem to be working very well. I have two pairs connected to subwoofers. I never connected them to my computer or did any configuration at all, I just plugged them in and they found each other right away. The shape is a little weird. And I found extra power supplies for them kicking around in a drawer.
A note of caution:
They cause massive interference with any 2.4GHz devices that are physically close to them. I had two of these on the same shelf (within 1 foot) as a Sonos audio system, and a cisco wireless router. Everything freaked out and wouldn't work. As soon as I found a way to put these audioengine devices a few feet away (higher up on a shelf 3-4 feet away) everything worked great. If you are planning to use these near devices that use the 2.4 GHz spectrum (wireless routers, sonos, cordless phones, etc) be prepared to put these as far away as possible. I think they were even causing interference on the 5GHZ band too.
It was really a pain until I moved them about 4 feet away. That's all you need. Now they work great.
I was told by a tech support person that in general wireless audio transmitters like these use all available channels and cause a lot of interference.

I purchased this product to extend my subwoofer to a more appropriate place in the room - without running wires. It works perfectly. Sub cuts on and off when amp comes on with signal. Sounds perfect just as if it were wired into sub out. It isn't often you say to yourself, I would have paid twice what I paid for this item. But I would!

Comments about Audioengine AW1 Premium Wireless Audio Adapter (Black):
The AW1 Premium Wireless Audio Adapter is a quick and simple means of transmitting sounds from anything that produces them, to anything that accepts them using a simple wireless connection.
Installation is as simple as plugging everything in. They were so quick to get working, my surround sound speakers actually played Windows XP's USB detection sound through the adapter!
This product removes the necessity for cords and will accept anything that takes a standard headphone jack. Simple and easy.

Comments about Audioengine AW1 Premium Wireless Audio Adapter (Black):
I bought this because I don't have a TV but I do have a stereo. I put my lap top on a leg rest/sofa thing, beam the music to the stereo behind it and I am good.
I also took the computer in the kitchen which is on the other side of the apt and there was no problem with the transmission.
One negative thing is that I couldn't find single receivers for sale, I had hoped to have something playing in the kitchen and the living room since they are so far away and be able to sync them up. I'm not sure if this is available somewhere else.
Also, it would be better if the transmitter had some sort of built in power source so you could connect it to your mp3 player (without an additional power source) but these aren't there yet.
Overall I am very happy with the product and use them all the time.

The AW1 works as advertised. I stream music from my desktop computer to my stereo receiver without any issues. My desktop and receiver are in separate rooms, but there is no issue with the signal strength. I love this adapter!

Works perfectly. Easy set-up. This replaces an Apple Airport Express which was difficult to configure with a PC. Great sound quality. I added a Y adapter to listen through the PC speakers and the stereo.
