Comments about Yamaha YPG-635 - 88-Note Keyboard:
This is a keyboard for my daughter to learn how to play the piano on. As such I was specifically looking for a full-size keyboard with realistic wheighted keys. This Yamaha YPG-635 definitely meets these criteria and comes with funtions that will probably take us years to learn. :-)
So far I have found only 2 things that could be improved in my mind:
1) The speakers aren't very load (but at least there's a headphone jack).
2) There is no built-in cover like with a regular piano to protect it from nightly troublemakers like our cat (I didn't realize this would be a problem until we put it up).
Otherwise it's a great instrument and with the included pedal unit definitely the best deal out there.

Comments about Yamaha YPG-635 - 88-Note Keyboard:
Great sounds, pianos, organs. Volume very good for the room I use it in. Can kick it up a notch with cheap Koss earphones. Fun to play - I love it.
Recently I have owned several pianos, digital and acoustic, but this is the best for the price.
One drawback is the lack of additional colors (black), but it looks better than I thought it would.

Comments about Yamaha YPG-635 - 88-Note Keyboard:
We bought this keyboard for our 8 year old to practice piano. She is taking lessons and we move often so we didn't want to invest in a large and really heavy piano. The pinao is a bit heavy but was easy to put together. Our kids love to use this piano. With all of the choices of different sounding insturments, and preload songs this makes a wonderful musical addition for our 5 year old. So the piano gets used for much more than just practicing.[...]

If you are looking for a mix between a piano but also would like the features of a keyboard than do not look any further!!! The YPG 635 offer great sounds (especially the Yamaha grand piano) and great rithms all combined with 88 weighted keys (I recommend to pay the extra for the real weighted piano keys since the do make the difference). I have not had time to even look at the manual, but even without that it is a pretty easy to learn user interface to start with.

Great for anyone who likes to play, learning to play or that doesn't have room for a piano or other instruments. Versatile, and great feel and sound. Looks could be better, but we did not buy it for its looks. Check dimensions this keyboard is a little bigger than it looks.
Bought because relative has similar older model.
This was a great choice.
Recommend matching bench, pedal kit, and good quality headphones.

Comments about Yamaha YPG-635 - 88-Note Keyboard:
Never having owned a digital piano, this has a nice feel to the action and decent sound. My son loves practicing with the headphones on and experimenting with the many different voices, the sound through the headphones is actually better than without. Although I would still prefer an acoustic piano, this is a good alternative for our family at this time considering the difference in price. Three pedal unit is not perfect and has a bit of an echoing sound, but is much better than the small plastic one that normally comes with the piano. Our favorite digital piano when shopping locally was much more than double the price, but was not in our budget. The difference in sound between the two was not enough to justify the price difference. We feel this was an excellent buy and would definitely purchase the same unit again. Our son has practiced alot more since purchasing, which almost makes it worth every penny!

I appreciate the piano-like key action, and realistic grand piano sound. (Will benefit from amplification and external speakers.)
Good range of voices, and a useful, if challenging variety of features. Will require study and practice to make use of them all.

I play classical. I have a 7 foot concert grand piano. Bought this for my son to practice on. It is not as good as the concert grand, but it is much better than studio piano. Great sound and nice variations in tone.

Comments about Yamaha YPG-635 - 88-Note Keyboard:
My daughter and I are learning to play. This price just for the piano alone was better than I could find anywhere, adding the three pedal kit [...] Keyboard is very solid attached to it's stand, which does make it fairly heavy. Weighted keys are very realistic and the sound is loud and crisp. Extremely happy with this keyboard!

I simply press the power button and can play beautiful music in my home every day!I had never dealt with B&H Professional before but could not beat their price on this amazing piano.[...] I recommend this digital grand to anyone looking for a solution to the problem of huge, heavy standard pianos. The YPG-635/DGX-630 sounds and looks amazing! Great find!Oh, and don't be deterred by reading comments about its volume. The speakers produce great sound for any room of your house. *I only recommend the Yamaha LP-7 Pedal Unit because the small pedal included tends to slip on my hardwood floor where I use my piano. It works great, otherwise.

Comments about Yamaha YPG-635 - 88-Note Keyboard:
This keyboard is amazing. I've played piano since I was 4, and this is the closest I've come to finding a real piano that is both affordable and fits in my tiny apartment.
For some music, the pedals aren't great / hard to differentiate between p and f (soft and loud), but works well enough.
