The Korg Pa2X Pro is a 76-key professional arranger workstation perfect for composers and live performers. Based on Korg's RX technology, the Pa2X Pro uses up to five oscillators for a natural, detailed sound. Subtle details such as trombone slides, guitar pull-offs, and natural vibratos have been included with the supplied voices for added realism. You can also sample your own sounds thanks to the workstation's ability to read WAV, AIFF, Korg, and AKAI samples and multisamples. The included 16MB of sample memory can be expanded up to 32MB.

The front panel of the Pa2X Pro is full-featured and intuitive, with the large full-color TouchView display at the center for showing settings, menus, and more. Eight assignable sliders, four assignable switches, a pitch/modulation lever, and two volume sliders put all controls at your fingertips. The Pa2X Pro also offers full sequencing capabilities with the XDS Dual Sequencer, which allows one song to load while another plays, DJ-style cross fading, or simultaneous playback for an arrangement with up to 40 parts.

The Pa2X Pro sports a full compliment of analog audio I/Os, two sets of MIDI I/Os, a S/PDIF coaxial output, and a USB port for ultimate connectivity to external speakers, analog and digital instruments, microphones, and computers. A 2.5" ADA internal hard drive is provided for data storage. The Pa2X Pro also has several upgrade options including a CD drive, an MP3 recorder/player, and more.

• High-Quality Audio

The Pa2X Pro features RX technology, using up to five oscillators to create natural, detailed sound. Subtle details such as guitar pull-offs and vibrato are included for added realism.

• Full, Intuitive Control

A touch-sensitive LCD, pitch/modulation lever, and a variety of sliders and buttons provide you with a high level of control. The 76 semi-weighted keys have velocity and aftertouch for a great playing experience.

• Voices and Drum Kits

Over 950 different voices are provided, along with 63 preset drum kits.

• Effects

The four stereo master effects feature 90 effect types, as well as vocal effects taken from the TC-Helicon.

• Sampling

The Pa2X Pro can read WAV, AIFF, Korg, and AKAI samples/multisamples. You can apply various filters and effects to the samples and store them in the 16MB of included sample memory or on the 2.5" ATA internal hard drive.

• Editable Styles

450 fully-editable musical styles are provided, each with eight accompaniment parts, for enhanced compositions and performances.

• Sequencing

The XDS Dual Sequencer provides a wealth of features not found on most workstations. In addition to loading one sequence while another plays, you can also perform DJ-style cross fades between them or sync them together to create a 40-part arrangement. The sequencer is compatible with SMF and Karaoke files and has full editing capabilities.

• Connectivity

Full analog audio I/Os, two sets of MIDI I/Os, a digital S/PDIF coaxial output, and a USB connector let you connect analog or digital instruments, a microphone, external speakers, or connect to a computer for data transfer and storage.

• Pedal Jacks

A damper pedal jack, assignable pedal jack, and an EC5 connection give you the option of connecting various pedals and foot switches for hands-free control.

• SongBook

The SongBook feature lets you select a song from a large database and instantly call up all the necessary settings for the song.

• Help

The dedicated "Help" key can be pressed at any time to display useful information about the presently selected mode and operation.

• Expansion Options

Expansion options include an MP3 player/recorder that lets you record your performance, including vocals, and a CD-R drive for playing audio CDs and loading samples. The Voice Processor can also be upgraded to include pitch correction and voice modeling features.
